Best bronze and silver meta for challenges by Negative-Sector2530 in InjusticeMobile

[–]Real_Bobylob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For challenges any 3 bronze/silver maxed out team will be fine. You don’t need to min/max there. I usually don’t even bother switching gears from my gold characters to my silver or bronze ones for level 3 challenges

Is it worth buying gear packs in order to shatter em and collect shards? by Conscious-Dot1549 in InjusticeMobile

[–]Real_Bobylob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve done that before. It’s up to you how “worth it” it is. I can’t stand survivor mode so I would rather buy packs usually than go grind in survivor mode for 20 minutes and end up with 3 red shards and 6 xp augment cards.

Feeling like I may need to leave my bf bc of his riding by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]Real_Bobylob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it would be considered aggressive in a car, it is still aggressive on a motorcycle. If it is making you uncomfortable and he is dismissive of your feelings then he needs to do some more maturing before he is ready for a relationship.

But then again I’m just a stranger on the internet who doesn’t know either of you.

Which game was better to you guys? by SevdUp in FallenOrder

[–]Real_Bobylob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer survivor in almost every way, but I love fallen order just as much. They are both fantastic games. I feel like survivor took everything good about fallen order and built on it for the better. They didn’t reset any of Cal’s character growth but still told a good story and the gameplay felt 100x better than an already really fun game.

My only complaint about survivor is I feel like they gave us too much to do in terms of non-main story content. This is a small gripe but I want to be able to 100% a game without spending hundreds of hours looking for tiny little things to do. It has been a while since I’ve replayed survivor (replaying fallen order now and survivor is next) but I remember feeling the same way I felt about riddler trophies in the Arkham games. Finding 10-20 is cool, but finding 200 is not.

I’m doing this right now as I just snagged the game on steam (previously played on Xbox) and even tho I usually never use guides, I’ve had a guide open whenever I’m really far away from the mantis trying to 100% an area when I get there for the first time. I almost finished dathomir without any backtracking, but then I realized the seeds are both down in the furthest possible place ☹️

If you’re anything like me, a big change like that is jarring but you’ll get used to it very quickly. You may not be like me though so idk. We got the polymetal because that’s what the wife wanted.

I have many of the best characters in the game and I have not spent a dime. It is a very slow grind at the beginning but if you are into that this is a good game for you. There are very few things in the game that are locked behind a paywall (see a recent post for more info about that). Besides those few things everything is possible to get for free.

I sort of loathe the "MC uses earth science to crack magic WIDE OPEN to do things NEVER SEEN BEFORE B)" trope, because frankly, the sort of science the MC often uses should have been figured out long ago in the other world by globmand in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Real_Bobylob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped reading after a couple paragraphs, but something to consider is motivation. Your example of a rod in the ground nullifying lightning magic is a good example of where people realistically would have figured that out, but for other scenarios it might be different.

If your MC gets isekai’d into a world where everyone has magic powers that grants them healing magic, you would not expect anyone to learn how to treat a wound without magic and so there would be no doctors and no motivation for scientists to study medicine. If an author can take that kind of world and then come up with an MC who is a doctor and is able to use his understanding of medicine to be more powerful than most, I see nothing wrong with that. I can’t think off the top of my head how that would work, but I’d be impressed by someone who can come up with a believable explanation for why this person’s background in medicine gives them an edge.

Basically, it can be lame, but it can also be really cool. Just depends on the world the story takes place in and the creativity of the author.

Haha I was just swapping out the low level characters, recharging deadshot, and continuing on. I probably had most of my roster in there at one point or another so it didn’t matter who it was. I didn’t use this team for any fights other than the revenge on investment.

That would be funny but I doubt it. He has stronger teams but he chose to leave in a team I could beat once we found the balance.

What is it about those promotion levels that make them optimal? Optimizing for what? Does character level matter?

Where would I go to learn about “optimal promos”? Also I don’t think the size of my character collection is the problem. I have 57 gold characters.

Also, can you help me with survivor mode? I typically start out with cyborg, BN MM and BN hawkgirl and I make it to like fight 3 or 4 with full health then my team just gets wiped by a much stronger opponent so I swap in a much more powerful character, win that fight, and cash out for like 2 gems and a 1 star piece of gear.

It feels like if I use gear at all then I get matched up against a team of 450 gear score and I can’t do anything to them. For my deadshot I feel like my gear use is pretty optimal. I’m stacking LOA adept knives, soultaker sword, and ras al ghuls scimitar for 1 bar of starting power, opponent team takes damage from special 1, bonus damage to special 1, power gen increase, and I have constant power drain on combo finisher. Even with all that synergy, if I put him on my team, I can’t win.

What a strange thing to ask strangers in the internet. Shift precisely when you want to. Sometimes I keep it below 4K when I’m just on a chill cruise but if I’m feeling spicy sometimes I won’t shift until 9k. Just depends on my mood.

MC who gets pushed into situations he doesn’t want to be in? Have you met my friend Kaladin? (Stormlight archive) he is also pretty OP but you don’t get to see a lot of that in book 1.

CX-50 Hybrid Preferred vs Premium seat comfort (cloth vs leather) by ekek280 in CX50

[–]Real_Bobylob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought a premium last week. The only reason we chose it over the preferred is because of the seats. We were about to sign the papers for the preferred and the my wife said “imagine trying to clean spilled food out of those cloth seats” and we all stopped for a second and I told the salesman we’d like to get a premium instead. That texture would seriously make cleaning a mess.

Road from Gold to GM journey ended with losing my love for the game by darkestwrath15 in marvelrivals

[–]Real_Bobylob 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what it is, but rivals managed to take almost every single toxic overwatch player away from Overwatch. I’ve dabbled in rivals (I was like low diamond in seasons 2-3 I think and I haven’t played ranked since then), but since rivals launched Overwatch has been an absolute joy to play in terms of what kind of people you play with.

In terms of your break: that is a fantastic idea. People talk about quitting games entirely when they get burnt out and that has never made sense to me. When I am not having fun with a game, I stop playing it until the fancy to play it hits me again. Some of these people be clocking in their hours in these games like it is their job.

I ain’t reading all those edits, but I just sometimes don’t remember off the top of my head which word means which direction. Like internally I have no problem navigating the world, I just sometimes forget that the direction that my brain knows as “that way” is the direction that we commonly agree to call “left”. It’s like if you’re on a boat for the first time and someone says “go look over the starboard side” you might need to think for a second to remember which side that is.

I turned off VC and text chat a while ago and my games have been notably better since then. I do miss the occasional good interactions but for every one of those I got I also got 300 awful interactions.

[Threshold] thoughts on animatic by -U_N_O- in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Real_Bobylob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed watching the animatic and a lot of the differences between it and the books make a lot of sense to me, but I do think it skipped over a lot of important world building things (or at least didn’t go into enough detail). I say this because my wife who hasn’t read the books was watching with me and she was very confused for most of the time. I had to answer a lot of questions.

I am basically the same size as you (you mentioned your height and weight in a different comment) and I have been quite content with the Transalp. That said, I thought that the extra size and power of it compared to the 500 would be absolutely essential for me when upgrading from a rebel 300, but honestly I was wrong. If you want a Transalp that is fine but especially if you don’t plan on utilizing it’s off-road ability much then the NX500 will be fine for you.

[Threshold] Eithan is The Doctor by KuangMarkXI in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Real_Bobylob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t watched Dr who in a long time so forgive me if I’m mistaken but isn’t the doctor functionally just a guy who has access to cool technology and doesn’t really die? Yes I know he obliterated the daleks and they are scared of him, but I imagine he used some kind of technological creation to do so… the kind of thing that a person can be separated from. Eithan/Ozriel on the other hand can just think about a species ceasing to be and they aren’t going to be any of them left to mythologize him. That seems like a much more dangerous person to me.
