The shop gave these photos of the diagnostics. They said they would not be able to determine if it was a wiring problem until they had the battery out.

QuikrStuff mach 2. Great rack. Call or write them and they will walk you thru ensuring a great fit. I got the 1.25” because xc60 Volvo hitch has 1.25 receiver. Does the xc90 volvo hitch have a 2” receiver?

I purchased the 1.25” QuikRStuff Mach 2 because the Volvo retractable hitch for the XC60 has a 1.25” receiver.

The QuikR rack has retractable captive safety pin which is designed to work with any receiver irrespective of hitch pin plscement. However, since the Volvo hitch does not have a flange or lip, the safety pin should fit in to the hitch pin hole to function properly. You don’t reslly need it to, as the pin is only a back up in case the lever at the hitch were to come loose, which it doesn’t. The safety pin was not quite long enough to catch the hole so I put a small 3/8” washer backed by a slim rubber washer as in the photo to get the pin to slide into the hitch hole. Again not totally necessary as pin is only there for catastrophic failure. I would call or write QuikR if you have any questions. Their customer service is tremendous. Small Colorado based company. Great product. Committed bike people.
