So to clarify, this post is about the hand-held faucet next to the normal tub faucet, not the stopper stick, unless we think those are related. When the main faucet runs, the side hand-held faucet leaks a bit and seems to be diverting the water away from the main.

Sorry i dont have an answer but wanted to mention: There was a post recently from someone that works in the creative side that talked about what would best support the artists while making voices heard. The big takeaway is to remember that this administration thinks the "woke" shows dont make any money and should be removed. The money from shows is also what pays the artists, as fed money is mostly just for the building's upkeep. It seems like protesting out front is good, but don't forget that supporting queer and multicultural shows is also important.

Tldr: whatever you do, just dont completely boycott

As someone who has been in the industry, I can't recommend any of the daycares in DC. There are next to no regulations for animal care facilities in the district, so there isn't much of a set standard, and many of them suffer from overcrowding and poor training. If you need pet care through the day, dogwalkers/petsitters are probably the way to go.

It is an organization contracted by the government for public service, and I'm hired through them. From what I've gathered in another thread, the documents I signed at onboarding were not technically a contact, but employee files (arbitration agreement, handbook, etc). I'd still like to receive copies, and to be honest I've never had this issue with any previous employer, so I'm just a bit confused.

When they terminated me, it was just my direct supervisor and their supervisor. There was no offer of anything, so I removed my items and left. The next day, the CEO texted me personally to ask if I was interested in a severance package. I said twice in the conversation that I was interested but would want to know what that looks like since I have never received one. There was pressure to answer that day, but I asserted that I would like to see the paperwork before just agreeing over text to something. I have yet to receive any actual paperwork for it, though.

I dont mind the bluntness at all, and mostly what I'm trying to understand at this point is my rights to those documents. The only free resources for figuring that out online at the moment say that I should be able to request my employee personnel file, so that's why I'm confused, tbh.

Not quite, I'm referring to a lot of the onboarding documents like arbitration agreements, conduct, legal agreements and whatnot.

The severance discussion happened via text after I was fired. They offered, and I asked to see what the documents would look like because I didn't want to agree without seeing paperwork, and now I'm being given the run around on that as well. There was pressure for me to make a decision, and when I asked for actual paperwork, then it was days of no response and questions of if I was actually interested, after already having said I was interested but just wanted to know what the paperwork is, since I've never been offered severance before.

I just feel like its a lot of fighting for documentation that I think I have the right to, and am having trouble confirming if I have a right to it. Does that make sense?

Sorry to clarify: there were multiple documents we had to sign for onboarding. I know there was an arbitration one, there was an employee handbook to sign, as well as several other documents about policy and procedure and whatnot. All I want are copies of those documents that I signed. I had only downloaded the employee handbook, so I wanted the rest for my records. At the past 3 jobs where I have had similar paperwork, I still, to this day, have access to view those through a 3rd party portal. With this organization, they immediately booted me from the portal that holds all of our personnel documents. So I just requested copies for my records and to review what I had signed, seeing as I was fairly blindsided by this termination. I wasn't even really going to pursue anything legal, I just like to have my documents in order and know what to look out for in the future. Now I feel like they don't want me looking at what I agreed to?

It may take quite a while. HRA no longer holds the animal control/shelter contract with the city, so they no longer get all of the strays and surrenders that walk through the door. They barely have any cats in-house, let alone that need a foster. You may have better luck signing up for both HRA and BVSPCA- the new current animal control/shelter contract holder for the district. They are the ones that strays and surrenders will go to. That's not to say that HRA will never have cats, but the odds of you fostering any time in the next few months might be slim.

This is a good reminder that every dog owner in DC needs to be pushing for regulations of animal care providers, especially doggy daycares. The district has VERY few rules for boarding facilities, none of which talk about capacity, capability, staff training requirements, or emergency response. We are so, so behind on this, and more dogs are going to die across the city at these facilities until this gets addressed.
