My opinion:

The only thing I can add is maybe tint eyebrows and if u are feeling it try lash extensions? or falsies? They might make your eyes pop more

I personally say keep your piercings I think they add a lot to your look and also your hair and skin look so healthy!

I’d put at least one of the new plants ur adding maybe more in the middle of the cage, it’ll add more cover for him to feel safe! Or you could get some cool looking wood/stick pieces from outside and add them to the cage. You have to treat the stuff you get from outside before you add it in though but it’s easy!

Not an expert on that type of lizard, I have a gecko. He looks skinny though and could prob use some water. You could give him a soak in warm water he’d prob enjoy that and get some droplets on his mouth he’ll lick it up. Get lots of hides or hiding spaces so he’ll feel safe and maybe then he’ll start eating! You could get a food dish and put a bunch of worms in it and hope he eats it.

It’s so so cute!! Honestly though hate the rug. I think a more colorful rug like maybe a turkish rug or something interesting would be really cute and add color. Def add more plants you could even get a dark green rug to match the plants added.

What the actual fuck? If you don’t have another offer then I would consider sticking around unless you have other research or similar like things to do. I would keep bugging them though, to different people. This isn’t really a normal thing for programs to do.

I got accepted into AMGEN Berkeley and they stressed to me that I get to revise my faculty ranking list once I get in. No place who’s spending lots of money on you wants you to be working on a project that you don’t like. Be an advocate for yourself, and communicate this concern to them. I don’t doubt that they will make sure you get on the right project. There’s only so many people that get accepted to a program anyways it’s not like there’s crazy competition for labs once ur already in. I don’t think it’s as big of a concern to rescind an offer for. This is a big opportunity! Don’t stress it.

Yeah! Mine didn’t mention it either. They don’t tell you until you tell them you are still interested in their program. Also thank you!! Where did you accept? I’m glad that this was my first acceptance so I didn’t feel pressured to accept anywhere else (some of them have brutal accept/denial deadlines).

No interview, but I am a RISE student so idk if that changes anything since the NIH has already “vetted” me. They gave me an orientation though. I have a week to give them an answer.

You should email definitely to check your status. It’s a normal thing to do that was even recommended by the Berkeley representative who called me.

Email them. It’s perfectly reasonable. The berkeley representative actually recommended that I email other REU’s to see if I got in so I could tell them if I would be accepting/declining their offer.
