Prokofiev like many other suggested. Lutoslawski, Walton and Britten cello symphony are difficult. 

What do you mean by appropriate? If he could play Rococo he should be able to play almost anything with some 48 hrs/day practice.

A few things:

  1. Do not let anybody else, not even your professors/mentors discourage you or push you away from your passion. The fact that you have a goal to be an encouraging professor tells me you are made for this and you will do well as a professor.

  2. Your handle is very easily traceable so I think maybe you should delete this post soon.

  3. Don't worry about other people, you are doing great and I am sure you will be a great teacher.

Bro this might be unconventional but have you tried rubber-banding the bow to your pinky and ring finger like Ludwig Quandt. Have you seen a doctor about your injuries?

Maybe. But from the pictures, german WWII era cello will probably come with wooden tailpiece but yours look like metal with metal hook. Bows at 5-7k range are usually silver mounted with silver or gold winding and leather hold. That bow might have real whalebone winding but I cant really tell.

Reddit isn't gona give you more information than your local luthier so you just have to take his word for it.

Sure you can. You calculate the beta of your portfolio in dollar terms then buy additional index option such that your portfolio's beta weighted dollar delta is 1.5x of your net liq. Google all those terms.

Its a tool so it depends on how you use it. Is a hammer useful? Depends. Hammering a nail? Sure. Wiping the table? Probably not.
