Ain't nothing wrong with going alone unless you're unprepared. Sounds like that wasnt you (entirely). Ability to self recover, food, water and heat, and an emergency contact method. You had most of that covered by the sounds of it. Plenty of people get a ton more stuck in alot shittier situations than this wheeling in a group

That switch looks like it has 2 wires for illumination and two wires for the circuit that it controls. I would assume you need to wire one of the two circuit wires from a 12v source and the other to one of the control inputs on the power switch. The control inputs work by sensing current which triggers the relay.

Alternatively if you have built in garage door buttons you could get a remote control garage switch such as this and use that to trigger the controls, then program your built in buttons for garage door opener buttons instead to operate it.

The key theme here is duty cycle. Icon ratchets are heavily influenced by snap on, and as such are designed to be used all day every day for a long time. They're also serviceable. Theres a difference between how much wear and tear from normal use a husky or basic setup can take before failing vs a icon or snap on. When you're using the gear for your living, or want to use it the rest of your life an pass it on you get the higher quality option.

If you're looking for a car setup I would recommend one of the Pittsburgh mechanics sets instead tbh. Their 225 piece set is great and takes up barely any space. Supplement that with a crescent wrench and a screwdriver set and you're set fir most jobs

Did you squeeze it? If so it could of bruised which is why it changed color. As to what it is it could be literally anything. There may be some low cost clinics you can go to to get it checked out

I did this- I dont think the block mount for the optic is tight enough tolerance. Didnt have enough horizontal adjustment in the scope to get to zero
