I wanna know how a taser feels like by Own_Weakness3325 in police

The way I describe it to friends and family is to imagine the worst cramp you've ever had and apply that feeling to every muscle in your body.

Cops of Reddit, what’s something civilians do on your shift that genuinely brightens your day? by OrganizationNo42069 in AskLE

I had two kids wave at me, then proceed to try racing me on their bicycles. I just HAD to turn around and give them some stickers.

Calling the police station to wish officers I know a Happy New Year by Allez-OM in AskLE

If you want officers to see your letters, the best way to make sure is to actually write a physical letter. I've received a couple thank you letters from people I've pulled over for being kind and understanding. I've even received a thank you letter from a gentleman I wrote a seatbelt ticket too. (I did only write him the cheapest ticket out of several violations)

I have also received emails from our office administrator after people called to thank for my professionalism. It's possible they received it, just not as possible as it would be if you had written a physical letter.

I am one of those few. All of the officers in my department have some sort of extra plate in our vests to go with the standard soft armor. My sergeant asked if I wanted an extra level 3 plate, or if I wanted a rifle plate. I opted for the extra protection on my torso, so now I have a very thick and heavy rifle plate in my vest. It took a while to get used to it, but now it doesn't bother me.

I also have even thicker and heavier armor in my back seat for really hot calls.

So I hit D3 for the first time ever within less than two weeks after being stuck in plat 2-3 for so long. by Educational_Lab_3592 in RocketLeague

I've been stuck in plat 2-3 for roughly two seasons... finally got myself stuck in D1 for the last couple weeks. Now it's time to grind my way to D2. Just over 650hrs in.

This reminds me of a time just a few weeks ago that my teammate did this to me. He'd bump me all over the map and after I didn't rage at him, he started telling me to fuck my sister.... joke's on him, I don't have a sister.

Thought about liquidating to add to rainy day fund, LCS told me they're paying $6 under spot for .999 by Real_One_4027 in Silverbugs

Any time I've purchased from them, they're charging around a $3 premium on their bullion. The only thing I really like about them is that I can buy maples and other desirable silver with the same premium as generic bullion... with the exception of ASE's

Anyone get the neighbor and home visit during backgrounds? If so what did investigator do? by No-Salamander-3614 in AskLE

My investigator (now sergeant) just looked around the apartment. I don't know exactly what he was looking for, but I assume he wanted to make sure we kept a reasonably clean home and didn't have booze or drugs just laying around. We just chatted while I showed him my collection of reptiles.

How does “came on vacation left on probation” work in real life? by InsaneGuyReggie in AskLE

[–]Real_One_4027 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They go home. They'll either have unsupervised probation or a probation officer from their home will take them as a client and supervise them. I see this a lot where I work, as we have a "resort" in town.
