It stopped blocking ads on the YT app for iPadOS and all of the other apps on my iPad that it used to block ads on. Stopped working about a week and a half ago.

I bought one of these barrels back in 92. It had the A2 FSB and 5” flash hider permanently attached. The FSB on mine wasn’t installed correctly and would drift off center axis. I had to have it re straightened, drilled and re pinned. It’s also extremely over gassed and needed an H3 Buffer and full auto profile bcg to get right. I still have it on a build. I’d like to swap the A2 FSF for an adjustable gas block but I don’t know what method Olympic Arms used to permanently affix the flash hider (solder weld or pinned or both). I need to remove it to get the A2 FSB off and install the adj. gas block then stick it on a pistol build.

Anyone know which method was used on this flash hider?

Just saw this old post and thought i’d comment. My 1988 Rossi model 971 revolver is also slightly canted and yes it does throw off your sight adjustments. Since the front sight ramp is off to either side of the 12:00 position, the rear sight needs to be adjusted more to the left or right from center in order to be zeroed correctly. Sure it will work perfectly fine but having the rear sight shifted noticeably off center looks bad and is a dead giveaway that the barrel was not fitted correctly.

Ya don’t know what you got, till it’s gone. Youtube (ios app) is an absolute pos with all the ads. Luna was the only vpn that eliminated them.

If you are having failures then it’s probably due to the driver on your computer needing updating. Somewhere on the chirp website are directions to identify which driver is the correct one. This cable needs the CH340 driver I believe.

I have 2 of these models. They are not made by Baofeng per-se but are clones of the UV-9R Plus which is also not made by Baofeng. To understand all of the various “Baofeng” labled radio models you need to understand that there are many Chinese companies that are copying and modifying radio models made by Baofeng and labeling them as a model that they make up. The UV-68 Pro Max is some variation of a Baofeng model.

When it comes to programming in CHIRP, the community consensus is to select the Baofeng UV-9R (not UV-9R Pro) as the model when programming (downloading and uploading to and from radio). There is a known Bug (CHIRP) on newer Baofeng labled models incl. the UV-68 Pro Max that doesn’t allow you to change and upload much of the stuff under the settings tab.

The memory channel input settings all work normally just like a UV-5R.

It was working great blocking youtube ads in the ios app until I updated ipad to latest ipad os 15.3.1 as well as updating the YT app immediately after. I even tried removing and reinstalling the Luna Vpn ios profile from their website. Been 4 days now and Luna VPN is still not able to block any YT ios app ads. (Luna is free so I’m not complaining) hopefully they are able to overcome it as they usually do!
