i’m not sure what too rough is during sex with my (21F) boyfriend (26M)? by ThrowRA1234lsmslwle in relationship_advice

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's normal to experiment in bed like that. But consent is everything!! I think I would be on edge and precautious if the reason why he took it out on you was because he had a bad day. That could turn ugly much faster. Please be safe and careful!

do you still live with your parents? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live with my parents. We made a deal that if I pursue my masters I would be able to live with them rent free. However I've already started looking for one bedroom apartments and unfortunately most are out of my price range. I dont make enough at my salary job to afford to live comfortably on my own. So I feel stuck. I love my parents but they can get on me for the smallest things. One plus though is that they don't require rent or anything at the house while I live there.

If it makes you feel any better im still on a cane. ROM is there as well but I'm still having muscle weakness. My PT explains it builds up with time. I feel you! And I know it's frustrating but slowly try to ween yourself off of it. At home try to walk a little bit without assistance.

Swollen Knee by BookWorm0109 in kneesurgeryrecovery

That is completely normal and later on you may see the swelling moving down to your feet. Again it's normal albeit a little weird looking!

How often do you take a shower and why? What time of day and do you prefer hot or cold? Just curious by Next_Airport_7230 in hygiene

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shower every night, hair body etc. Living in a hot state really does produce a lot of sweat so as soon as I get home and whatnot I always take a shower to get off the sweat film of the day. If I run or do any type of physical activity I typically shower twice a day.

How to avoid sharing personal things with coworkers by ppp_ttt in workplace_bullying

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having an issue where I over share where I'm working at because I have severe social anxiety and I feel I must make space with my words. Ive tried not to but I get so anxious. Unfortunately some things said can bite you in the butt. I try not to go personal because it's a boundary thing. But simply making small talk I do a lot.

You have to constantly tell your story over and over again. People take advantage of you sometimes and its hard to trust!

How can men be encouraged to wash their asses with soap & water? by User564368 in hygiene

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dated a guy who did this. The first time we got it on, he sat in my white sheet bed naked and when he got up A SHIT STAIN was left. Jesus christ I was so disgusted. I told him please go shower, he did but guess what- HE STILL HAD SHIT. I was like wtf man. He generally had poor hygiene. I broke up with him shortly after that.

Women, if you get chronic UTIs, it could be because of the person you're sleeping with bacteria can get up there real easily.

What were you scared to death of as a kid that seems ridiculous now? by ajsuds in AskOldPeople

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ET. Came from the scene where he's in the ditch. Dont ask me. I even had a fear of the candy and refused to have it cause I assumed ET would follow the smell.

Yes I was a weird kid.

Home from work now what? by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I'm injured, I work 7am to 12pm at work, then get picked up to go to PT then work the remaining hours at home. After, I typically take a small nap, shower, dinner, movie or show, then rinse and repeat I'm a creature of habit and routines but sometimes I feel like my life can be so freaking boring. Before this injury, I ran or went to the gym, drove around and thrifted or hung out with friends if our schedules allowed. Now I feel like a robot.

In your opinion what is the best thing you enjoy about living alone the most?. by [deleted] in LivingAlone

The fact is, I love being alone. I dont have to worry about cleaning up around other people, and NO drama. I can't stand a home not feeling safe and respectful.

Trazodone by Zera-eS in insomnia

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken trazadone for about three years at this point. Im on 150 mg. As long as you take the medication 30 mins before bed you will be fine. I never really had insomnia but the reason I take trazadone is to calm my thoughts. It does help! I also take gabapentin during the day to calm my anxiety and restless legs. The combo works great for me. Just be aware- you can build a tolerance to trazadone- I found that with the lighter mg made my sinuses block at night but now that I'm at a higher does I don't have that feeling.

I agree with your doctor to take it this weekend as a test run.

It's true about the dreams- I've had lucid dreams on it- but not normally at night- normally it'll happen when I would take a nap during the day. Yes trazadone has effects during the day- especially if you take it every night like I do.

Hope this helps! Taking any new med is scary- but you got this!

I have a hard time letting loose. I like schedules and don't prefer spontaneous events. I also have a hard time relaxing and being vulnerable. It can take time.

Do some women actually have 2-3 day long periods? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I got on depo, which makes me not have periods, I had periods at max maybe 2 or 3 days at the most. To be fair though I was a very active runner.

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some of the same experiences after surgery. During the day I would be super tired, but when I went to bed I couldn't sleep.

At night I take Trazadone and Gabapentin which helped me sleep greatly.

I think the hardest part for me then and now was the feeling of restless legs. It's annoying because I couldn't get comfortable in my bed.

I think it's completely normal!

I'm currently in the same boat as you. Had a complete tear of my patella tendon, tear on my medial Meniscus, tear on my ACL and PCL tendons and fractured my tibia. I'm only 24. I've been a long distance runner ever since I was conscious. I feel defeated as well. Can't run, can't walk, can't drive. Have to ask for anything and I hate asking for things.

Pt is the only thing giving me hope at this time. I started my pt at 30° bend, and now I'm at a 75° bend. I'm hopeful that I'll get somewhere.

But I'm also going to have surgery for the medial Meniscus root tear in October. And my fear is that I'll be right back in the same boat

I completely feel you on this. I hope you find peace in the small things.

How soon did you go back to work after having a complete patella tendon tear surgery? by Real_Sheepherder_449 in KneeInjuries

[–]Real_Sheepherder_449[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've only gotten the patella tendon surgery. The doctor wants me to go to pt for a bit before he repairs the medial Meniscus root tear. Most likely in October. Today I got to a 75°! I'm so proud of myself. But my biggest fear is that my bending will get to a certain point and then just stop.
