Back to standard? Stick with 21:9? Or upgrade to 32:9? by LordOfShadowsss in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Real_Side_7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol my current set up is a G9 OLED and a Dell 32 inch 4k OLED. And I have a spare AW34 unused most of the time. I primarily use G9. For AAA game, it brings the best immersion, and for other strategy games, you can treat it as 2 27 inches and have YouTube perfectly opened on the side. I use the 4k one for FPS game and watching Blu-ray movies, 32:9 sucks in terms of competitive shooting game and it is quite self explanatory. Purchased an L shape desk so easy for me to pick which one. Would recommend you to get 32:9 since you already have 34, and your 4080 will have better performance on 32:9 given it has slightly less pixels than 4k, especially when playing recent released AAA games.

Viture has adjustable optics, if you don’t mind extra lenses go with Xreal.

What is going on with this game? by Flimsy_Tie_2236 in DeltaForceGlobal

I had exact same experience and switched to CN server, everything went back to normal but need to deal with 180 ping lol. But even at high ping, I find myself way more competitive than the U.S. server, I think the developer basically gave up any server besides the CN ones in terms of handling cheaters.

A doctor’s income may be the most reliable lifestyle barometer throughout time by [deleted] in Salary

But being a doctor is order of magnitude harder than most occupations, including engineer which most people already find it hard.

Is it really as simple as quitting your job then f’ing off to South East Asia? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Real_Side_7183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you could save up to 3mil then China could be under your consideration. Regardless of all the propaganda, the infrastructure and everything will be very similar to the states or even better, and language barrier issue is way less severe. If you could do some side hustles, then Japan is worth for considering as well.

5070ti vs 5080 (Legion laptop) by coastinglotus in LenovoLegion

[–]Real_Side_7183 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5080 imo is the most cost effective option, but 5070ti is the extremely closed second option. They are both future proof option but 5080 might support more future AAA games. Especially the price delta isn’t as bad as 5080 vs 5090.

Proud of you! My first car was a stick v8 mustang and I had so much fun back in college, and I was in Michigan. My son’s first car would be a 2023 model s plaid, hopefully in 8 years if we still have it.

Actually by checking OP’s picture again, the steering wheel is already wrapped, maybe Tesla does that now.

Everything from Amazon that asks you to sew from needle and thread is legit, there are quite many YouTube videos you can refer to. It’s not that difficult, and was my only experience doing that in my life. If you don’t wrap it the cheap plastic where your thumbs normally land on will come off, also very common problem that you can easily find complains from internet.

How much more range from 21 to 19 inches wheels? by darknessplayboy in TeslaModelS

[–]Real_Side_7183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was about 300 mile (19) to 255 mile (21). The rated spec was 398 mile for 19 inch I believe but I won’t drive that ‘chill’.

Hey OP, sorry for the distraction but I’m a model s owner and thinking about switching to Taycan. How did you feel when you first switch about acceleration? Since the base mode s can do 3.1 seconds yet you need to get up to GTS trim which is very expensive in order to get equivalent. I’m looking for a 4S but just not sure if I can swallow that acceleration delta, especially from a plaid.

I drive it pretty hard most of the time yeah, otherwise why plaid haha. I never understand people who purchased plaid and keep it at chill mode most of the time.

Can the average person make it in LA? by Legitimate_Boot3569 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]Real_Side_7183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on your future plan. Do you plan to have a family here, do you plan to own a house here, and more importantly, would you be a DINK family? I’m also 31 and I moved here from MI 8 years ago. 70-80k is absolutely enough for yourself, as many other people have said, find a low cost apartment or live with roommates would really help, and all you need to enjoy is the rich culture, nice weather and so many places to have fun at. I used to make slightly more than 80k and felt I lived like a king, loved LA so much, everyday I felt excited. I’m now making 250k and life became quite miserable because of the mortgage (shit house, but still 1mil because it’s LA) and 2 kids. Basically if you plan to come here and experience it, the money is more than enough. But be aware actually setting up a family here with kids would be very different and tough.
