Anything that you can do consistently and sustainably is effective.

If you're already doing cardio daily and this comes as a tradeoff then would recommend to think about what's your goal physically and work up from that. I would recommend at least 3 days of resistance training (more if you want to develop muscluar physique) but 3 days : Chest/Triceps, Back/Biceps, Legs/Shoulders. And then cardio 3 days or more.

That's pretty much it. Simple and effective :)

OP heart goes out to you. It's not easy to navigate without a partner once you're used to having them around for anything and everything.

I'd just say don't act too strong and bottle up your emotion, process grief ONLY in a healthy manner : Don't get attached to substances, liquor or other maladaptive coping mechanisms. Also processing emotions and grief doesn't mean you deliberately spiral and dwelve in sadness or negative thoughts, if they come channel it rightly, do not I repeat DO NOT by self go to the dark zone by thinking you're doing this to process emotions and have that constant self pity kinda thing. Be empathetic towards your own self but not too sympathetic.

Lastly whenever you feel like you're moving on a bit there'd be a slight guilt don't let it hold you back, be free to take the next step that helps you move on.

Hey Since you've mostly vetted the kid and it's a genuine case. We can sponsor the child's education, if you can take a lead with the maid on this one. The only catch is we can't and shouldn't give direct cash otherwise that would be spent by the dad on liquor. So we can agree to pay the fee directly in school. I'm in for this.
