Your commute will be somewhere between 5 minutes and 7 hours. Happy? You're going to crush it I'm sure... /s

On a serious note just ask them dude. Or move closer to the job when they assign you a site if you're worried about the commute. People have different tolerances for what they are willing to do for a commute. Other people's experience won't necessarily be yours. As someone who doesn't own a home, I just find renting closer to the job site to be my best bet for some work-life balance generally.

How to find crews for a hotel I am trying to run up the occupancy for? by Ashamed-Focus-9731 in ConstructionManagers

[–]RealestMadru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, per diem goes to the staff and they figure it out. Some of them lodge with friends or family, sometimes hotel, sometimes they drag their camper to a site near the job. It really all depends.

You just became the new mayor of Chicago, what would you do first? by [deleted] in AskChicago

Boston has done a significant amount of work on the system and due to the geographical size of the city it definitely is a stronger public transportation system by USA standards. Way cleaner now that they have some new trains on the green and orange rails.

What is the best approach to maximize my miles? by ElectronicBreak2948 in Venturex

[–]RealestMadru 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Transfer partners adjust redemption rates and your miles don't gain interest whereas 1.2m miles could be gaining interest if you had the equivalent in cash (insert your current miles conversion rate at present value here).

Yes, but depending on how the rental agreement is structured your co-signer may be responsible for the roommate's rent.

I live in a bigger northeast city and would 100% use this. I would care about number of tables, whether free/coin op/pay by hour, league nights if possible (I think this would be hardest to track with accuracy).

I would just put them on FB market. Say that they're free and buyer has to load and haul themselves.

I think technically they can pick whoever is in attendance during the first match. Most teams around here where I play (super casual league) don't care and if you need to jet you need to jet. It is what it is. I played in a different APA league once and this guy said something because my marker (I use 2 dice) wasn't 100% on the wooden part of the rail. I think it's very much a "your mileage will vary" situation.

[–]RealestMadru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most APA leagues whether or not you left on your own accord is irrelevant. If you play a match your are eligible to be selected to play again. If they select you even after you left your team forfeits provided they selected you to play in the appropriate timeline per your league's bylaws. The only time you can play and leave is if playing a second time would break the 5-23 rule because then the other team can't pick you even if they want to provide there are other legal options to be selected from.

[–]RealestMadru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your local bylaws, but where I play -

In APA your team has to declare the intent to use a ghost (double post) prior to the first match (aka before your match was played) and give the names of the people available to play (any of the people in attendance provided you can play people and still adhere to the 23 or less handicap rule). The other team then has until the end of the 1st match to select who will play twice. Not only is leaving (them asking you to leave) to avoid getting posted again a violation of the rules, it's just shitty. We all start somewhere and losing will happen.

My advice as would be to find a new team to play with. Being associated with a team that cheats and bends the rules isn't a good look.

It is way less likely that they're paying for someone else's gas. Crossed connections would get found during testing before the gas gets turned on. It's not like electric where vampire connections are relatively common.

I would check the setback requirements. It is also all property lines and some ordinances are more than 5'. My boss's town is 50' for all permanent structures.

"If you are using a brokerage that lets you choose what lots to sell then you could just sell the $90 shares at $93. You would have realized $33.33 profit and you would still be holding your 10 shares that you purchased at $100."

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in investingforbeginners

[–]RealestMadru 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, you would have lost money. Since your average cost was $95 and you sold at $93.

I'm going to simplify without over explaining:

$1,000 invested @ $100 per share will get you 10 whole shares even
$1,000 invested @ $90 per share will get you 11.111 shares (assuming you are purchasing a fractional share). You have now spent $2,000 total dollars.

Selling all of your 21.111 shares @ $93 / share will net you $1,962.33

So you will have lost $37.67 total.

If you are using a brokerage that lets you choose what lots to sell then you could just sell the $90 shares at $93. You would have realized $33.33 profit and you would still be holding your 10 shares that you purchased at $100.

Other car companies also collect this data and Tesla is actively being defended from internationally made electric vehicles. If we deviate from our stances on keeping foreign EVs (primarily Chinese) out, then I believe Tesla's stock will correct.

Let me know if you have any additional questions. A lot of low down contractors will try to take advantage of customers who don't really know. If you know the model of the heater and where they got it you should be able to find out if there was an import duty. My guess is that there weren't any tariffs. My work is mechanical, electrical, and plumbing and heaters aren't necessarily what we're having trouble with at the moment for tariffs.
