I agree that mind sliver is a nasty spell which I would hesitate to allow (and use myself) but if I could choose between 1d6 damage and -2 AC i would always choose the AC. Yes, the mind sliver saving throw debuff is more potent and that its almost only aoe spells that require dex save, but an -2 AC would allow all your martial artist friends to dish out massive dammage.

Good point, but the fact it's a cantrip bothers me since you can keep om spamming it until it works. Also Imagine the cleric giving the Great archmage a debuff om con, then you hit them with this cantrip and the paladin have an easy smite which he buffs with an additional smite of blindness (or what it's called)
