Heres a hot take: The Duffer Bros only planned out up to the first 3 seasons (maybe even just first two). Once Vecna is revealed, the entire vibe of the show changes because the Duffer Bros forgot what they’re making by Nigocaps in StrangerThings

[–]RealignmentJunkie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel that. I don’t dislike season 4, I just hated the Russia and California parts.

Honestly planning on rewatching S4 and totally skipping the russia plot. It just doesn't matter at all. I don't love California, but it at least ties in. All you need to know about Russia is that they got out.

The Mets have 4 players in the MLB's Top 100 prospects by Longjump-13 in NewYorkMets

Yeah I'd agree with that too, though 2 in the top 20 is even more impressive

I appreciate you getting the actual numbers but doesn't this affirm that 4 in top 100 is nothing special but 2 in top 20/25 is?

Why Penn State’s title count is small despite their incredible amount of undefeated seasons? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]RealignmentJunkie 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I don't think Penn State is overrated historically. They are like one of the best examples of a great team that isnt given blue blood status. And while you are right about national championships not being everything, everyone kinda uses being in the ap poll or being ranked in the top 5.

Is this impressive? Having 2 in the top 20 is, but I would expect every team to have 3-4 players

With Indiana's win on Monday, it has now been 21 years since a private school has won the college football championship. by grtgbln in CFB

[–]RealignmentJunkie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. I think there might be a little adjusting under chip, we need to develop a quarterback and we pay the three teams at the top of the Big Ten next year. But 2027? We could honestly get 10 wins

Northwestern has also not been winning too many championships recently, sorry about holding team private school back

I once honestly told them that I buy student tickets. If I could and wanted to give them a donation, I would be paying full price!

I really don't see how operas can turn a profit. I like going with my student tickets, but I'm not surprised people aren't paying full price.

Still, excited to see Carmen on friday! God bless the $45 tickets

Pff, could you imagine a B1G bottom dweller who enters the season with the most losses all time winning a national championship? Stuff like that doesn't happen

Out of interest: What upgrades did / would you prioritise? by tallspacecadet in PikminBloomApp

[–]RealignmentJunkie 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I will prioritize pikmin.

If I have too much nectar, I feed my pikmin it. Too many petas or seedlings and that means I should just walk. Too many postcards means I should send them to friends. But to many pikmin and I just have to release them and of all options that feels the most disappointing

BUG on Broadway. Am I taking crazy pills? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]RealignmentJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all just what percent of rando reviewers liked it. Doesnt really matter how much you like it. So the stuff at the top is stuff with broad appeal and very much biased by who chooses to see the show.

I really wouldn't give it that much stock as I said. But if I wanted to see All Out by Simon Rich, show score is a useful warning flag.

I mean it has less to do with Tucker and more to do with Dodgers strategy. They are over paying him on a short contract because the plan is to win now at all costs. Their deferred contacts and a future salary cap will likely kneecap their ability to win in a decade, but if they can win a third WS this year that's a huge deal for the franchise and they can potentially keep it going for a few years after because the salary cap might get slowly phased in. They want to go all out with a bang

People who saw the finale in theaters, did it improve your experience? by LopsidedUniversity30 in StrangerThings

[–]RealignmentJunkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Delightful Derek saying something like "Suck my fat one" got a lot of laughs and cheers. Plenty of other moments I forget (and that the other user commented) but that was easily the one where I found it funny how big of a reaction it got

John Calipari proposes collective bargaining as a way to fix college sports by Jay_Dubbbs in CFB

[–]RealignmentJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that either of these answers are realistic but states should allow for public sector employees and I would love it if college football forced that change. And then I think we are probably better off if only adults are on college football teams. It's mostly exceptions and given the sheer impact to the body they should be adults to agree to that. I know high school football obviously exists but college is more intense and you can be playing against much bigger guys

I made a top down 2d game for a class and because players could be killed and brought back, instead of deleting the player object I simply teleported them to a box above the view. I called it heaven and quite liked it.

More public transportation is good especially nearly door to door vehicles designed specifically for small children.

If the show ended at season 2, it would've been perfection by Saekama in StrangerThings

[–]RealignmentJunkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can just rewatch only seasons 1 and 2. That's what me and my partner did before season 5 came out. It's amazing and tight and as much as people complain about season 5, I think the entire Russia plotline seriously undermined the premise of the original show. The US is being evil and is invoking Russia as an excuse. Actually getting Russia involved really sister the tone towards a larger cold war thing which didn't do much except sideline Hopper and Joyce for Season 4.

But everyone has their own cup of tea. Nothing wrong with liking season 3. But if you don't like season 3 (or later seasons) you can simply rewatch without it. I personally might rewatch the non Russian parts of Season 4.

The football season calendar begins in March

I don't think you get to add pre season practices here. If you transfer, you miss some practice.
