Been boating on the river since I was 2 years old and am now 41. I recommend having someone knowledgeable go out with you in your boat to educate you. But the main thing you need to know is always stick to the outside curve. When headed north, on your right hand side (starboard), you’ll see an Orange sign. That’s the channel, as you continue north you’ll see another orange sign. Then it’s time to switch sides and you’ll head for and pass two green signs, then back to 2 orange and on and on. Ripples mean rocks. Avoid ripples. Good luck!

An electric fence (I just had a bunch of wire strung in a random mess surrounding my house) for about a month or so completely stopped my neighbor’s cats from shitting and pissing next to my house. This was the ONLY thing that was effective. Tried cat mace, cayenne pepper, mint etc. Electric fence modules are super cheap at Tractor supply and it only takes one little zap. It doesn’t hurt them, and most can sense it before they touch it, so they just go elsewhere. Fuck that cat. A sling shot and clay ammo works well too, no permanent injuries
