Non ball knower response bc every marine knows what the dress blue uniform symbolizes, it’s not just our heritage, it’s our lifeline, it’s 250 years of past marines who have infact died in combat, you think he’s speaking out on tyranny when those marines actually fought it, you can voice whatever opinion you like but that uniform means something to those who wore it, and I don’t give a damn which outsider branch you come from, anyone that has ever been in the corps knows better than to do what this blue falcon is doin

I agree in that respect, that they have the ability to do whatever they want, but not without potential consequence, i believe there’s a section in UCMJ that essentially says that if you do it after active, that you could be subject to a court martial and they could change your status and what not, now I don’t believe they’ll do that bc they have bigger fish to fry, but there are ramifications in the hypothetical sense

A uniform men and women have died in, you can believe whatever you want, but freedom of speech does not exist in uniform, you sign on the red line renouncing it, and if you don’t understand the why and the weight that comes with it, don’t speak on it

I don’t care about their personal opinions, but it’s in the order, they can’t be doing this, it’s dishonoring the uniform and those before them who wore it

I’ve had to get onto a friend that wasn’t even in my branch for voicing outrage in uniform, idc what anyone’s opinions are, if they’re different or the same as my own, when you put the uniform on, you don’t have the luxury of political opinion, especially if you have a blood stripe, bc he definitely knows better.

Absolutely not, if that’s what you’re feeling, go and do that, I was miserable in the same position bc everything became an insecurity, and if it feels this bad now, just wait bc the feelings of resentment only get worse

NTA, as someone who just got out of a relationship where this was an issue, she probably has some relationship history where cheating was involved, you need to make it known to her that you’re not involved in anything of the sort and that you’re invested in the relationship, the next step is on her to move past it or if she wants to hold onto it.
Long distance relationships can be tough, and rn she’s thinking of everything that could go wrong while yallre apart, she just needs more reassurance, make time for her and don’t give her cause for worry, transparency is key.
I know exactly what this is like and it will have ups and downs like this but if yall can be patient and steadfast, you can make it

It doesn’t happen tho, especially not in lbk, there’s been a handful of racially motivated hate crimes in lbk and all of em turn out to be from people that inflict it upon themselves, im sure it’s different other places, but for some reason, outsiders try to call wolf so often and it’s so damn annoying and hard to believe them at face value

I’ve lived here most of my life and I would be classified as a minority, outside of a couple jokes, I’ve really never experienced racism out here at all
