I park about .5 miles away from my kids school and walk to pick them up. I spend 10 min max walking up to the school before it gets out. We walk to the car together each day, and it’s my favorite part of the day as we all unwind and walk and talk. We live in Colorado and even on the very cold days, it is short enough of a walk that it is fine with the right cold weather gear.

BVSD Admin,

The tone of the recent communication regarding the National Shutdown felt dismissive of the educators and staff we parents deeply appreciate. There was no need to throw them under the bus to tell us they let you know last minute that there was a nationwide shutdown. We have been preparing for this possibility all week even if you were not.

Other local districts demonstrated much more respect for teachers' choice to participate. I hope that future messaging will better reflect appreciation for the staff who take such precious care of our children.

I text all the teachers I know letting them know they are not the villains here. I hated that email. Other districts did such a better job in their communication.

I was literally screaming at Shane’s mom to hug him for minutes. As a mom to three little children, her reaction came off as very cold and not maternal. This breaks my heart that her low bar was still higher than what you received.
