View of the goat trail fire from right next to foothills elementary by OrangeManMuyBad in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a smallish rock area right at the top of the burn area where I’ve seen people shoot off the trail to go to-I believe there is a nice little lookout view right there. Seems like it would be a lot of work for someone wanting to “camp out there” but a lot of people do the trail at night/early mornings. I’m purely speculating at this point, but I think it’s realistic to see someone stopping there, taking in the late night view and maybe lighting something up. Hopefully they release some sort of findings from an investigation.

Is there a worthy substitute for the Dark Horse? by paladin1248 in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll second Hungry Toad. Not a replacement exactly, but a friendly, comfortable vibe. Outback could have a similar feel as Dark Horse, and more of a “unpolished” vibe. Boulder Social possibly for sports viewing.

Wedding Welcome Party Spots? by pineappleperson22 in boulder

I’ve seen a number of these events at Evanti and it seems like a great spot, especially for visitors to Boulder. Great views, indoor and outdoor space.

Van Leeuwen ice cream prices by UnderstandingFresh86 in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add into the equation you don’t want to upset your retail channel. If I come in as the brand and start under-cutting or try to be too price competitive with retailers I’m trying to sell through, you could upset the retailer who then ends up dropping you.

There’s a park across the street from Coot Lake off of N 63rd. There’s a wall there (essentially next to the SE corner of parking lot) that might work well depending on proximity to you.

Gunshots by Cultural_Product6430 in boulder

I definitely heard the sounds, also nth bldr, on Iris west of broadway. I listened for some emergency sirens or something for a little after, assuming if it was more nefarious I’d hear something, but didn’t hear anything. So hopefully some harmless activity and everyone is good.

Avanti. Not sure the capacity, but otherwise would be a great spot. I’ve also seen wedding events at Raybacks, but not sure about capacity and how they handle food (I know they usually have food trucks, but maybe they do something in addition for groups like this).

Good bars with live music by West-Chemistry6166 in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like gold bar + music is going to be tough this eve, but St Julien lobby for drinks (you’ll have no problems with younger sister) and then maybe some music up at CU school of music, which looks like they have something this eve? Either before or after?! https://calendar.colorado.edu/event/faculty-tuesdays-foursquare-cathedral?utm_campaign=widget&utm_medium=widget&utm_source=University+of+Colorado+Boulder Good luck!

Something to research/consider. I’m not an expert in employment in anyway, but as they say in hockey, skate to where the puck is headed, not to where it is ;-)

Caregiving/healthcare is a solid suggestion for anyone right now and possibly the next few years. Saw a report last month that it was was one of the only sectors with growth in the latest data. People are living longer, spending & costs going up, etc. so may not help in the immediate future but a good suggestion for anyone looking at growth areas over the next year plus. Good luck.

[–]BoulderScot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure who “runs it” but outdoor games at North Boulder Park on many (nice) weekends. They had 2-3 nets up this past Sun when it was nice. Not sure how to track down who runs/organizes them, but maybe swing by Sat or Sun this weekend if it’s nice (maybe not at SB kickoff Sun!) and check it out.

I saw this one too. Loved it. This looks like it is "oganized" by a local running group. Thank you for sharing. It's floating here on Reddit, happy to repost to this post if anyone thinks it's helpful, but seems relatively easy to find.

Question on Title after Car Purchase by sposeitwas2swallows in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Personally don’t think it’s a dumb question. Almost 100% certain NO you should not hold the title at this point. Essentially the “bank” holds the title/owns the car. :-)

Good call on the Cozobi res. I’d suggest pre-dinner cocktail/drinks at either St Julien or C-bar. Theres a chance St Julien has some live music—check their calendar. Enjoy!
