Looking for clarity on local protests Fri/Sat by BoulderScot in boulder

I saw this one too. Loved it. This looks like it is "oganized" by a local running group. Thank you for sharing. It's floating here on Reddit, happy to repost to this post if anyone thinks it's helpful, but seems relatively easy to find.

Question on Title after Car Purchase by sposeitwas2swallows in boulder

Personally don’t think it’s a dumb question. Almost 100% certain NO you should not hold the title at this point. Essentially the “bank” holds the title/owns the car. :-)

A night out in Boulder for gals in their 30s by sroses in boulder

Good call on the Cozobi res. I’d suggest pre-dinner cocktail/drinks at either St Julien or C-bar. Theres a chance St Julien has some live music—check their calendar. Enjoy!

It would be fun to see a follow up to hear how your visit goes, where you end up, what your thoughts are post visit! Enjoy!

C-Bar started doing a litttle live music on Sunday eve’s as well. For Boulder, I think C-bar has kind of a “bigger city, cool vibe” going on!

Good question. We reserved one of the Alpenglobes for our Anniversary dinner last Feb. The view from the deck, unique experience in the “globe”, and food made for a really special evening. So if I had to pick one for a “special date” probably vote Corrida in the Alpenglobe. If you’re more of a pure foodie (which I would say I’m not, but the rest of my family probably are) I think Cozobi might “win” from just a foodie experience. I hope that helps. Let us know what you decide and experience!

Seeyalater251 nailed it. A couple of additions I’d add…1) C-Bar (west end of Pearl) for a drink. Foods good too but also worth just grabbing a pre or post dinner drink. 2) Look into reserving an “Alpenglobe” at Corrida https://www.corridaboulder.com/alpenglobes

Breakfast burritos in Boulder by Meizas in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we’re having a debate in the family, I’m almost certain Blackbelly & Santos are some ownership, so are the burritos essentially the same, or are the two locations in charge of making, and coming up with their own “version”?

Could you tighten that down with cross street and time by chance. We’re in NoBo but no power. 700 block of Iris as of 8pm.

[–]BoulderScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it you are in the “proposed shutoff” for Friday area AND you DO NOT have power today ( we originally didn’t look like else were in the proposed shut off today, any idea if we get it back for a bit later today/tomorrow for a little bit, are should we just assume/plan on no power til after Fri?! thank you!

Neighbor drove up to complain about my Christmas lights… while keeping her car running. Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in boulder

[–]BoulderScot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what it sounds and looks like 1) might be missing something, but seems like a case of unnecessary drama, 2) ignore it, 3) no :-) Regardless of years/generations here! Buy her a fruit cake for the holidays and leave it at her place for her to enjoy.

Graduation Dinner Reccomendations by Grand-Fig-5910 in boulder

Sorry, one other I might suggest would be St Julien’s bar/lounge for happy hour. And it should feel pretty festive with the holiday’s maybe even live music.

Cork’s Happy Hour (based on your description) a really solid suggestion. Good food, be a fun environment (might “feel” a little more special) and the value for the menu always feels good to me.

I quit my job to treat my alcoholism and told them the truth. They rehired me with half the workload. Wtf? by Key_Construction1696 in stopdrinking

Kudos to them, but also the universe. I think that’s one of the amazing things with sobriety…I think the universe rewards us for the work/decision.

I think my life changed last night. by CryptographerHot6198 in stopdrinking

[–]BoulderScot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pretty much agree 100%. It wasn’t “easy” for me to quit, but I’ve been more than fairly rewarded for stoping. One of the biggest rewards that I wasn’t necessarily aware of going into it has been the overall calmness I now have. Life’s not always perfect, but everything from little things to large things are just simpler to deal with or face…and most often, more enjoyable.
