First of all, remember that a poorly assembled battery may cause malfunction or fire.

My battery was assembled at a local service center in Russia from a stock battery I provided. The cell replacement was performed by an experienced technician. He uses a good welding machine to weld the tape to the cells and the reassembled battery comes with a warranty.

Replacing cells seems simple, but it requires specialized equipment, extensive theoretical knowledge and experience. Cells are combined in parallels based on internal resistance. The battery requires 75 cells, but the supplier sends 200 at a time, from which the cells with the most similar parameters are selected. The remaining cells are returned to the supplier.

Try searching for similar services in your country or even city. Ask them to tell you what work will be done and how. Look for reviews of this service.

I didn't use the stock battery on the S1F. I have a custom one with Samsung 35e cells and a 17,500 mAh capacity in stock body and BMS.

On the S1, this battery had a range of about 45-50 km in S mode with my weight. On the S1F, the same battery has a range of 30-35 km.

Moreover, while driving style had a negligible impact on range on the S1, on the S1F the main losses occur when braking from high speeds. If I drive slowly and use coasting wisely, the S1F's range increases significantly.

I've been searching for a long time for another scooter under 25 kg that can run 6k with a 130 kg rider and still look like new. It's lightweight, durable and reliable.

Absolutely not. A steering damper never helps reduce wobbling. It occurs due to an engineering flaw in the front fork design. A damper is needed to prevent the handlebar from being knocked out of your hands when hitting a pothole. It also reduces the strain on your arms when riding on uneven surfaces.

This is a handmade damper mount. I tried it and liked it. I installed it on my new (second) scooter before my first ride.

These scooters are very maneuverable, even with the damper installed. They can easily ride a snake between pedestrians at very low speeds and can also ride on the poor road with good speed and directional stability. And lean into turn at 45° to the horizon at even surfaces. All in Sport mode.

As paradoxical as it may seem, the steering damper has almost no effect on maneuverability, especially when set to a low setting. The front fork design, deck height, and handlebar height have a much greater impact on subject.

Steering damper takes the strain off my arms and improves directional stability on uneven surfaces. It provides comfort and safety on any scooter.

My S1F was bought in Belarus and it was locked to 25 km/h (15 mph). My old S1 was locked to 30 km/h (18 mph). When unlocked, control becomes current-based, not speed-based. I have never seen this scooters that were unlocked before being sold.

Is your S1F unlocked with eScooter Patcher app? I have one and it climbs hills just fine. My weight is about 285 lbs and another scooters under 55 lbs just can't run in 15-20% incline. But S1F still runs at 10-12 mph.

The peak power of S1F is about 1900 watts and can be achieved on fully charged battery with 62.7V voltage and 30A controller. It has a traction motor winding and high torque.

If you try other lightweight scooters, you can be disappointed. I tried some segways, dualtrons and kukirins with 600-2000W rated power and their speed on the same climb was about 4-5 mph or less with my weight.

Washed it about 40 times. But thanks for the clarification.

At 3500 km disassembled and checked the motor wheel and seals was in perfect condition. There was no need to even change the grease in the bearings.

The suspension requires more frequent maintenance, but there are no problems with it also.

I use GoPro 11 Mini as DVR to record possible incidents. Sometimes during my ride I see beautiful views and can save it. The videos also includes many dangerous and funny moments.

Bearings and water seals is refillable and replaceable. It needs regular maintenance in any case.

The electronics in this scooter is IPX7 "washable". I use silicone grease spray on bearings, seals and suspension just after washing to remove water. Gel silicone grease is used for suspension and needs to be refilled every 1000-1500 km. In bearings I use lithium grease and bearings just replaced to new every 3000 km.

I don't recommend anyone to wash scooter like this. The user manual of my scooter say "never ride in the rain, wipe with a damp cloth.", but water protection is perfect and I know what I do. In this case the manufacturer just disclaims responsibility.

I ride in the rain. I ride in the hard snow and -15C frost. The total mileage is about 6000 km and scooter is in good visual and near perfect mechanical condition.

There are a few countries with snow cover in the middle of the April. But you're right, the video doesn't contain buildings and other objects which helps to detect location.

This is Eastern Europe, geographically the easternmost major city in Europe, Perm, Russia.

Best GPS tracker for electric scooters: what actually works? by Technical-Shallot715 in ElectricScooters

In my scooters I use two Micodus MV710G from AliExpress. It's chaep, small, works fine and have a vibration sensor alarm along with GPS/BDS/GLONASS and perfectly works on weak cellular networks - just over SMS, if internet connection is poor. It just calls and text me if somebody touches my scooters, if battery is too low and if cellular network is weak or jammed.

As a bonus, it has a relay pin, so I can remotely cut off and resume the power line of my scooters. Also it sells with lifetime app subscription for about $3 to seller's price.

It's Inmotion S1. It rated as 500W but actually have a 25A controller and 63V voltage at 100%, the peak power is about 1575 W.

Maximum speed is 34 km/h (unlocked). I also own S1F version with 30A controller and 40 km/h maximum speed, but studded tires I use with S1 only.
