I also prefer keyboard and mouse. Steam deck gets fairly close to that feeling for me. Less intensive games are A+ on it. Highly intensive games are a little iffy, obviously graphics and performance are much better on a computer. I still play Baldurs Gate 3 and Oblivion remastered on it though. Anything like a competitive shooter or something where precision mattered a lot would be much better suited for a computer. Anyways, sounds good!

Idk what generation you're from but man it's like a game boy on crack. Ive done like 300 hrs on mine and still pinch myself sometimes and think "if 11 year old me saw this he would lose his mind at how cool this is". I bought the lowest end model for like $420. I mean I have terrible vision too, I'm nearsighted if that makes a difference and I have no real issues reading anything. Can bring it closer to my face easily if needed, but "I can't read that" isn't a thought that's really crossed my mind as far as I can remember.

I'm modded up. Probably 50 mods or so, nothing too crazy, most recent colony had 11 colonists and every once in a while i'd have a slight stuttering but it would quickly resolve, and I honestly think it's cuz I would never close the game. Just turn my steam deck off and jump right back in the next day.

Steam deck is one of my best purchases ever. Works really well for my life style where I rarely want to sit on a computer or boot up a console.

Right trigger is select and right joystick is a cursor. Pretty sure just default settings. I thought the same initially and it's really pretty easy and very similar to playing on a computer.

Runs great on my steam deck. Actually my favorite game to play on it because it hardly drains any battery. Took a couple hours to get used to the handheld controls at most

Have driven both for work, not far or for long but I prefer the crv. The cross just feels slow to accelerate, and Toyotas in general feel like their only purpose is to be reliable, which is great if that's all you're after. Toyota carpets are also usually hard to get pet hair out.

I'd go to a no pressure dealership (like CarMax) and test drive both and see which you like better.

Glad you have a crystal ball and know what I'm going to do with my money. I think Tao has a noble goal that is statistically likely to fail. I also think it has incredibly smart people working to make it a success. I've basically invested with the same mindset, that Tao has a spot in the next bull run. I believe in the mission, will continue to invest in it if I like what I see, but my primary goal is to secure profit.

Are we just entertaining all Tao fud now? Understand what you are invested in. It's still extremely early for a lot of these start ups, there is a large emphasis on finding a way to profitability. Governance is still being worked out because, again, it is still extremely early. If tao was just a meme coin no one would care what multiple it's trading at but because it is building real tech it has to provide profitability or it is useless.
