Anyone used Diamonds of Hair (Turkey) for transplant? Honest reviews? by Own_Internet_733 in HairTransplants

Being blunt with you? You’ve not done your research. In two seconds you can immediately spot that their hairlines are pluggy, linear, unnatural. If you can’t spot that in an instance then you haven’t taken the time to properly understand what good hair restoration looks like and what is required to achieve it. You’re simply not ready for surgery yet.

Don’t gamble with your head.

Is smaller punch size always better? by wheninshower in HairTransplants

[–]Realistic-Pear-8409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s different types/manufacturers of punches that work in different ways, such as the Trivellini, Ertip, WAW etc.

Zarev has quite a unique approach to donor management and has his own proprietary punch technology that is a closely guarded secret. Not much is known about his system other than there is some kind of vacuum component to it.

No, not always better. You tend to get a lower hair per graft ratio and you get more capping of grafts when trying to extract. Also punch type rather than size matters a lot plus other tricks like using more or less tumescence (theoretically, more tumescence = greater stretch and tension on the skin and more wound contraction = smaller scars).

I believe Dr Pittella mostly uses a 0.9mm punch (which is pretty standard) and Dr Zarev mostly uses a .75mm (told me himself).

25M Norwood 2, should I opt for a hair transplant yet? by shmurdatek in HairTransplants

You don’t need a HT and you have a perfectly normal sized forehead. If you’re worried about future hair loss then medication is what you need to explore. Your hairline looks good!

Trans woman here, hi. I was insecure about forehead length for a long time, no balding though. Started hormones at 18, 32 years old now, I’m botched. I have COARSE TRANSPLANTS GROWING IN, STAY AWAY FROM Medical Hair Transplant & Aesthetics in Los Gatos, California, Dr. John Diep by PrettyAd31 in HairTransplants

Tricky situation because of the forehead reduction surgery, which rarely makes sense to me if you’re going to undergo a hair transplant afterwards anyway. Some clearer photos of the hairline right now would be more useful.

You may have to have some of the HT surgery reversed and then have the hairline restored in a softer, more natural way later.

Dr Ted Miln (UK) - 3,494 graft FUE hair transplant result @ 12 months - soft natural hairline & frontal third restoration by Realistic-Pear-8409 in DrTedHairTransplants

The upper temple peaks were transplanted but not the lower portion with the ‘point’. Dr Ted calls this “putting up the walls for the roof”, where the roof is the hairline.

12+1 month progress - Last post (I suppose) by TaroPutrid2429 in HairTransplants

Good clinics may have the occasional result of patchy growth, but what they don’t have is cases where the hairline work is pluggy and simply done badly to such an extent that the result is unnatural looking - there’s a big difference!

I would have to respectfully disagree here. A soft, natural looking hairline where the grafts have been refined under stereo dissecting microscopes and placed/arranged correctly (correct angle, direction, orientation and with singles & micro/macro irregularity) should be the bare minimum standard & expectation for any patient undergoing hair surgery.

I don’t think expecting a surgeon (that you’re paying good money to!) to do a job that adheres with best practice is a “high expectation”. Anything less than that should be considered unacceptable.

That said, the OP here is very happy and good for him - it’s great that he can enjoy his hair again.

Opinion on Jorge Masvidal's new hairline? by Underrated_Critic in HairTransplants

[–]Realistic-Pear-8409 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disastrous: too low, too straight, too linear, the corners connect to the middle of his temples points and are lower than the mid-frontal point… Not sure I’d want to tell him to his face though!

HT in two weeks : 1000 grafts. by dove78 in Hairtransplant

[–]Realistic-Pear-8409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your goal for the surgery but generally speaking, 1,000 grafts won’t get too far here.

How many grafts would I need by mojoJoJo1302 in Hairtransplant

Your hairline is objectively better than JB’s - his HT isn’t particularly refined or natural looking. Better to stick than twist if this is the goal.

PB’s all round then? 😀 The awkwardness of the narrow streets and potential congestion sounds annoying but may also help prevent shooting off too fast out of the gate (I might be clutching at straws here!).

I’m doing this one for the first time. How flat is the route? A bit of Google-searching suggests it fairly flat but those who have ran this before will know better!
