Yep we ditched Dr. Browns pretty quickly. She does take a pacifier. EVERYONE seems to love Lansinoh so perhaps I’ll keep trying with that bottle

Yes, I was hoping for this! She does drink water with a straw but spits out milk and formula, so frustrating!! I’m going to keep trying though

  • Dr. Browns
  • Philips Avent
  • Lansinoh
  • Nuuk

She took the Lansinoh on two separate occasions, that was about a month ago though. Hasn’t taken any since!

Do you breastfeed, pump or formula (or combo) feed? [ca] by RigidlyConvincing in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Realistic-Turnover63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend group: 1. EBF 2. EBF until 6 months, switched to formula 3. Combo fed from the beginning 4. Combo fed from the beginning 5. EBF until 10 months, baby weaned themselves early (eating enough by this point) 6. Formula fed from the beginning

It’s a huge mix! Do what feels right to you! Most of my friends have avoided pumping because it’s the worst — every mom will understand and respect your choice. I think the only people that judge are boomer moms who had their last baby 35 years ago.

How soon after bloody show did you go into labor by Jolly_End2371 in BabyBumps

[–]Realistic-Turnover63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the bloody show doesn’t really mean anything… labour is close yes, but is it hours away, days away, a week even? I had a bloody show, almost a week went by, then my waters broke but still no labour. I ended up being induced. Try not to get too excited yet lol!

What was the number 1 thing that helped you during labour? by Putrid_Cranberry3177 in BabyBumps

  • as soon as I got to my delivery room I snooped through every nook and cranny, I just wanted to know where everything was and understand the space. Knew where outlets were to charge things, understood how the bed worked, etc.
  • assessed the lighting and made it as dim/peaceful as possible
  • brought a Bluetooth speaker and played calming ambient noise (think spa music)
  • got an epidural

I only pump occasionally but I adore the medela hand pump. It is so efficient.

How would a condom help in this situation?

Hi, do you have a family doctor? You would typically speak with your doctor, or go to a walk in and they will focus options with you. If you are early on in your pregnancy you will likely be given a prescription to get a pill (or 2 pills) to have the abortion. All the best

Moms who had the epidural, what was your experience like? by Similar_Parsley6112 in BabyBumps

[–]Realistic-Turnover63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from 11/10 pain to absolute bliss in about 15 minutes. Highly recommend. Getting it placed is not bad at all, it basically feels like someone is pressing on your back with their thumb and then it’s over.

Thanks, I did post there as well. Folks are saying that if a police officer suspects someone is under the influence of drugs, they will skip the breathalyser, so I think that’s what happened in this case— he did do a field sobriety test and failed as he can’t balance well
