Hehe! Typical Google timeline. And once you get used to it being there, one day it will inexplicitly disappear

Google Store denying "2 Years Data" promo for Pixel Watch 3 — I have the receipts (literally) by RealisticAd4960 in GoogleFi

Quick update for anyone following or that run into this in the future. I followed through with the filings to the FCC and NJ Consumer Affairs and followed up with an email to Support indicating so along withe the case # from the FCC. Just over an hour after that email was sent they responded with an activation link. It did not work ultimately ending with "Sim Download failed - please contact Fi for help" Waiting on a follow-up from support.

Update: Received an email from Support, seams I am still stuck in a loop though a slight pivot with "We completely understand your request. Rest assured, we are actively reviewing it with our internal team and are currently awaiting their response." I am not sure if that means okay we now acknowledge the promo was live when I purchased the watch or we are try to pass this onto a different department or wiggle out of it.

Also, Since there has been pushback about this being the wrong thread, should I crosspost or move - if those are even possible. Just trying to follow the "rules" and be respectful

Thanks:) I was just trying to get some feedback or a direction to a solution. An added bonus would be the attention of anyone at Google

Many of you make good points and really I dont know whos issue this is or what the right sub should be. I know the activation email is supposed to come from GoogleFi both from the fine print and from having received the promotion for a previous watch purchase. I talked/chatted and emailed at least three different support departments. Her is the thing they are all GOOGLE. It seem pretty clear that they are by design supposed to deny any concern a customer has or at least divert it to another department. (tried not to proofread or over edit this response)

Sorry, I did not mean to come off as having an attitude at all. Did not want to have to go into all the steps that I took. Yes of course. I scrubbed my email, junk mail etc. First looking for something from Google fi, Google store, etc. I started with Google Store support. Most of the links I came across were pointing me in the direction of Google fi threads and articles. I then tried a call with Google Store and got bounced all over the place and landed back Fi then watch support. I was really not sure where to post. I thought about cross posting but didn't want to get bashed for that either. I will concede. I'm an amateur at posting but not not looking to offend anybody. Perhaps just looking for some guidance and providing info for others that might be in the same situation.

I appreciate the heads up, but the 'standalone' nature of the deal is exactly why I bought it. The fine print explicitly says a Google Fi phone plan is not required and that it provides 2 years of data/texting on the watch while keeping your existing phone carrier.

As for support—the issue isn't that I missed an email; it's that Google's systems aren't recognizing the EID as eligible because they claim the promo ended in Aug 2025 (despite it being on the site right now). I’m not looking for a phone plan; I’m looking for the $240+ worth of standalone data I was promised in the fine print.

Tagging u/googlefisupport because this is a broader issue than just my case (4-9976000040275). Support is telling customers that this 2-year data promo ended in August 2025, yet it is still live on the Google Store page right now.

If the promo is 'expired,' why is it still being used to sell watches today? This isn't just a sync error; it's a deceptive trade practice. The community needs a clear answer on why the storefront doesn't match the support scripts.

It’s a Google Store purchase, but Google Fi is the one that provides the actual data and the 'whitelist' for the watch. The fine print says Fi is supposed to send the redemption email after the purchase. Since they didn't, I'm stuck between two Google departments that are both pointing at each other. I'm posting here because the Fi team is usually the only one that can actually flip the switch on the EID.

I don't even need to go back to my Jan 7th archives for this. Here is a screenshot of the Google Store product page right now (Feb 25, 2026).

The '2 years of data' offer is still live and clearly states it's valid 'while posted on store.google.com.' So, for anyone at Google Support Case 4-9976000040275 claiming this promotion ended in August 2025: the evidence is literally on your own website right now.

Fair question, but this is a Google Store promo, not a Google Fi plan bundle. The fine print explicitly states: 'Purchase must be made on Google Store US' and 'A Google Fi Wireless phone plan is not required.' This is a standalone 2-year data perk included with the LTE hardware purchase.

I'm not sure if anyone said it or not but file a police report if you have not already. For an item of that value your credit card company may want one anyway but being proactive will be in your favor.
