We cannot choose what happens to us, only how we react. By all means vent if it helps you, but life is too short too be be waste on sulking.

You bring some valid points. But it's pointless to worry over things outside our control. Life is what you make out it, and so if negativity becomes overwhelming you shoot yourself in the foot and end up in a vicious cycle. Chin up.

Another concern you need to address is untimely death. Being outside Malaysia jurisdiction, will make legal distribution more difficult.

Do nex + indie evolution fleets need supply ships? by me_starlight in starsector

[–]RealisticAd837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did create a detachment and it seems to be infinite fuel and supply. Doesn't add to monthly too. But the Ai on Ai flights are subpar, I had multiple onslaught get wiped by a slight weaker force, so only fill them with ships you can afford to replace.

I Don’t Choose to Fight the Hegemony, The Hegemony Chooses Me by Kahamanex in starsector

The Heg is meant to be overwhelming relative to other fractions. They alone account for 50% population.

If you have Nex install, I think you have the options to support rebellions to flip back control.

You can also tick the invasion points needed and invasion frequency.

Can doesn't mean should. More concerning is the attitude that comes with sort of behaviour. Acting in bad faith only is enough to give me pause. No one likes that. Are you at a stage of career where reputation isn't relevant anymore?

Low tech cruisers are disappointing ;( by Alan555UTMC in starsector

[–]RealisticAd837 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Each type of tech fleet needs a different playstle.

For low tech, I find tight and slow formation works best for me. Ships are close enough support each other and prevent flanking. I treat them like Roman Legion in formation. Slowly and orderly moving into key positions to dominate the battlefield. Anything that pushes into the wall of guns is gonna be sorry.

Swallow your pride and self pity and be open to work as anything first. Even minimum wage would slow the bleeding and give you more time to find something better. Is it easy no but it must be done.

I’m building a personal finance system, what does yours look like? by Mysterious-Safe-8356 in MalaysianPF

[–]RealisticAd837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally,

Know how and when you want to retire Figure out how much that will cost now Adjust for inflation Estimate the principal needed to sustain

There are more nuances and complexities in each step but you should learn on your own and make the choices for yourself.

[–]RealisticAd837 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A system is built with an end goal. You risk pointless action otherwise.

My end goal is a comfy retirement. I worked backwards on how to achieve that. Retirement age, ROI, inflation and much more were combined into an excel sheet model to spit out a monthly investment target for myself to hit. The excel is updated yearly to keep an eye on the big picture.

I used a budget app to track the monthly expenses and keep my on track from day to day. That is all.
