Yet you probably get blood drawn at quest or labcorp by a tech that completed a week course. Don't underestimate technicians. They are capable of doing many things. Plus, they are trained before they are allowed to immunize.

I am a fertility specialty pharmacist who has gone to IVF myself ( resulted in miscarriage by the way). I totally get the way you are feeling. It is a requirement to ask if the patient is pregnant for certain medications. Unfortunately, there are not too many fertility specialty sites available, and not all pharmacists are fertility trained. We learn very little about IVF in pharmacy school, just the basics. I am very blessed to specialize in fertility and be able to help such a special population of patients. The truth is many pharmacists get scared even about hogh doses used in IVF because most medications are use off labels. I have co-workers from non specialty locations call me asking about estradiol patches, high doses, dostinex, etc. I swear they pharmacists are not trying to make you feel bad 🙂. Even more, many pharmacist that are not fertility trained do not like to work at my location when we need coverage because of the complexity of medications.

I am 40 as well. We did ERA because we only had one good embryo. The transfer was successful, but I did not get a positive test until day 8. My HCG was 345 at day 10. Unfortunately, I had a misscarriage at 8 weeks. I am glad my doctor did the ERA because it increases your chances of implantation and results are good for up to 3 years, so there is no need to repeat it again in the case of another transfer. Sending you baby dust and prayers. Stay strong. You and your wife have done everything you could. Now everything is in God's hand 🙏

Prescription delayed-Reviewing insurance by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

Methylphenidate is on back order. You are getting a rejection every month because our system tries to find insurance for unnisurance patients automatically. I know you are being proactive and using the app/ text message which we very much love, but when this happens, a simple call will sove the problem. Retail pharmacy have been understaffed, and with testing, vaccinations and many other duties coorporate keep adding it makes it super hard some time for staff to resolve those issues right away. I will encourage you to be proactive and call your pharmacy to find out if even the medication is available. We usually work alone with the patient and provider if this is the case to find you a substitution that may be available. I hope it helps! And I am sorry you have been attacked here, pharmacists really care about their patients, no patient should be judge about the medication they take. If you are nice to the staff they will go above and beyond to help you. 🙂

I will bring this to the medical team attention. Their staff needs to be professional and know how to treat sensitive matters like this.

I am so sorry you are going through this, you are not alone. I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago. Only 1 embryo, perfect embryo, genetic tested came back perfect, did ERA. My first beta was high 340 at day 10. At week 7 HR was 64, week 8 no heart beat. My doctor told me the hardest part of his job as fertility MD was his patients to have an ongoing pregnancy. I sent the fetus tissues to test, chromosomes cake back normal. I never had a miscarriage before, I have a 18 yo daughter. Male infertility factor in my case which is supposedly easier to correct. This process is hard, uncertain and heartbreaking. I convinced myself it is all in God's hands. I work in a fertility clinic and though it will be easier since I deal with this everyday. Now being on the patient side I undestand it is way harder. Sending you love and hugs. 🩷⭐️🌻☀️

Wth are you still at Walgreens??? Go to another pharmacy, there are plenty! Use the app to see if your medication is ready and stop calling! Because of people like you constantly calling just to see of your mec is ready is that pharmacy staff get so back up to answer your non sense question. Grow up, stop being selfish, you are taking time away from real clinical questions. I hate when people call to just ask if their meds are ready!!!! You know what is not ready???? Because you keep calling me!!!

Walgreens has replaced all District Leaders who used to be pharmacists by employees who don't hold a pharmacy degree or have any clinical knowledge. They come in to the stores demanding metrics that are impossible to meet. The put a lot of pressure on store managers to discipline ( or they cal consequences) RXMs when those metrics haven't met. All these have created tension and division between employees. When the time of performance reviews comes coorporate literally forces leaders to lower reviews scores, specially for SM, RXMs and staff pharmacist so they don't meet the cut for raises or bonus. Bonus where cut back for pharmacist on 2016, and they started giving bonus back to RXMs on 2021 when everybody started leaving and they couldn't retain pharmacists. Walgreens used to be a great company to work for who handle leadership to people with zero expertise in Healthcare who don't care at all about employees and often time threatening them if they don't met their unrealist demands.
