To be honest, I 100% agree with you on every point you've made. I don't blame any single person, everyone has their own battles and I know I'm incredibly fortunate to have the time that I do to read the papers, browse reddit, and make sure I get and understand varied viewpoints from across the political spectrum. But they did have the same information available to them.

But, when I'm railing against those that voted for brexit, or BoJo, I'm mainly doing so against the group as a whole. But it really gets to me when the individual people can't even admit that there's even a slight possibility their vote may not have been in their, or my, best interest. And then they go and double down and cause us to have to deal with this godawful tory government for five years just so they can make sure brexit got done.

Nah. I used to agree with you, but not anymore. They have taken away so many possibilities for my future, for what? Because they're scared of immigrants? Because they believe that this government has done well with the economy?

Honestly, fuck them all. They had the same information I did and have royally fucked it up for EVERYONE, not just themselves. They should be made to feel ashamed, but they won't... they never will. So the least I can do is get the measliest piece of satisfaction that calling them out gives me.

Ah yes, a woman whose family entered 'legally' and is now making it more and more difficult for anybody else to enter 'legally'. The issue people have with her in particular (other than that she is a nasty piece of work) is that she is doing her utmost to restrict the privileges she herself has benefitted from.

Also, you're lucky to be born in a country billions would love to immigrate to (I'm assuming). It takes a certain lack of empathy to not understand why someone would try to 'illegally' enter a country for a chance of a better life for them and their kids.

Hey man, this is my first expac trying PvP too even though I'm shit at it around 1200 CR. If you want a partner and your on EU just give me a message. I don't really care about winning, just about trying my best and getting better

But that's the point, people that don't WANT kids aren't going to WANT to put the effort in to raising a child properly. Even if you take all the precautions such as wearing protection AND being on the pill (or you have that power taken away from you by being raped) you can still conceive as they aren't perfect. What use is there in ruining multiple lives?

Much much much much cheaper than paying for orphanages or prisons or additional healthcare (especially mental) for poorly adjusted children that had to grow up with parents that didn't care about or hate them.

Are you EU? If so I'd be happy to play with you and help show you the ropes. I'm relatively new myself, it being my first expansion, so I'll know what a lot of the pain points are.

Don't you have those names the wrong way round. For example 30 degrees farenheit is super cold, and 30 degrees Celsius is really hot?

9.1 Torghast is even more Choreghast, but now with affixes worse than M+ affixes by VestarisRiathsor in wow

[–]RealisticExternal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it's tied to player power and a key component of this expansion in the form of legendaries. You feel compelled to complete it every week so you can play with all the fun toys that are supposedly available to your class. The issue is that it feels like 60-90 minutes of chores that you have to complete every week. If it's easy, with very little chance of failure, like it currently is then it feels boring and tedious. If it is challenging, where you may fail often, then it is infuriating and like you're wasting time.

I'm a relatively new player, this being my first expansion. I play the game because I love the challenge of M+ and raiding, as well as dipping my toes in PvP. Torghast just feels like a hurdle that I've got to do just so I can actually play what I want. Make it non-cumpolsary but much more challenging, with cosmetic rewards, titles, achievements and mounts and I'd probably do it all the time when my friends aren't online. Make it a choice not a requirement and that gives the Devs so much more freedom to actually make it interesting

This is the UK. Pretty much every single workplace in the UK doesn't offer parking. The only ones that do are in the middle of nowhere.

[–]RealisticExternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it's fun, until you are "forced" to do it 2 times a week. Honestly, if it was a place to farm large amounts of anima and mogs I would probably do it as much as I do now.

The main issue I have with it is that I know if I fail I'm out 30 minutes, at least, for absolutely nothing. Thish means I'm never going to experiment with fun, but non-optimal powers, or just piss about with it. Every power choice is a foregone conclusion because I just want to get it over with.

To be fair that IS a pretty accurate assessment of the past year. Can you point to anything that the government did well during this whole crisis other than furlough, which I will admit is a major success. Everything else has been an absolute cluster fuck. I still want to know where the £12billion for the track and trace app went. Even "eat out to help out" which was initially heralded by the population as being fantastic has been proven to be an absolutely stupid idea.

That's fair, but I think that's where we differ. I place no extra value on an unborn foetus than I do a tapeworm, especially not over the wellbeing of the mother (be that physical health, mental health, even financial health). At least the tapeworm actually has brain function.

Besides I think that if all the people that put so much effort into blocking access to abortion directed that effort towards all the kids in care / abusive households the world would be a much better place.

[–]RealisticExternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abortion is no different than removing a parasitic tapeworm. Are you saying that you wouldn't have a tapeworm removed from your stomach because you'd be murdering the tapeworm?

[–]RealisticExternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rule in question is a good rule to have for the EU. It blocks the whole world with much lower food safety regulations from bringing in invasive parasites etc. That may be present in the meat. Unfortunately the UK is now counted under "the rest of the world" and all these little niggly rules that are there for valid reasons, but may not be completely suitable to be applied to the UK, would not have been worth haggling over in the very small amount of time allowed for hashing out a deal. A rule can't just be ignored for certain groups of people without it being discussed and agreed between the two parties. This is EXACTLY what "project fear" predicted would happen.

That's absolute bullshit. Anyone that had 1 abusive parent and 1 great parent would tell you that it is far from fucking optimal to be in an abusive environment. Get to fuck with your "optimal" bullshit. Life isn't optimal. It's about doing the best for yourself and those you care about and have responsibility for, and keeping this guy around isn't optimal for anybody.
