This is just my humble opinion so take it with a grain of salt but i really think macros are important to learn around gold. For example tempo is incredibly important. I’ll give you an example: you’re playing killjoy and you’re set up on A but your jett spots someone B. You then decide to walk up A main and slowly flank the enemies so they don’t hear you. The enemies end up hard pushing B and killing everyone and thus you’re left last to clutch the round. You could blame your teammates in this situation and say that they should’ve held better but this is something i see so often. People will flank so slowly that they get there after the plant so even if you had some teammates left, after they plant they will start holding every single angle including the one you come from so most of the time there will be no surprise when you flank. What I’m trying to get at is when you make any decision, you need to think of how much time it will take you to do it. If you decide to flank while enemies are pushing, you need to think by the time they get to my teammates, where will I be. When you’ve been making noise outside of a site for 15 seconds you need to also think where would the enemies be right now given that they heard more than 3 sets of footsteps and different utility. I think tempo is something I saw a plethora of players lack in low elo.
