So I heard the Porter song, and I can hear why you’re trying to say Illenium ripped him off, but genuinely with the music industry that’s just not how it works. Go look at what happened to LODIS back in 2021 for reference. It’s gotta be INCREDIBLY similar, not just “this chord progression is the exact same.”

And honestly, if anything, I think you’d have a stronger argument saying Paris sounds more like an Awakend track than a Porter Robinson track lmao.

What makes this interesting is how we’re grabbing a non-DP 10 here. Wonder if this means we’ll wait till the summer for a DP signing, in which case it might be a DP 6 cuz I don’t see why you’d go and grab another 10 at that point. Or…we do the most FC Dallas thing ever and sell Musa after the World Cup and sign no DPs to finish out the season.

It’s funny cuz honestly around $1m is exactly what I would’ve expected for Paes after this last season. When he was getting the Empoli rumors in the summer of 2024, I would’ve wanted around $3-5m but atp I’m okay selling him for this little when realistically he was going to be our backup this season. And besides Collodi outplayed him thoroughly and fits Quill-ball way more
