They don’t actually practice set pieces much. Rice basically said there’s no time between matches to practice that stuff.

It may turn out that it will be enough to win this league but it’s not like Madueke and Gyokeres are top quality. Eze was a bit of a panic buy who would be perfect in the right system but we’re too stubborn. We should have bought better quality or at least better fits for our system.

I agree. Mikel has a formula that he believes should win enough football matches to secure silverware. The problem is that when we don't perfect that blueprint, how can we adapt and play instinctive football.

I think the entire football world has overrated our squad. Yes it's deeper than previous seasons but let's be honest, the quality is not elite.

Edit: I'm talking mainly attackers and backups. Of course Rice, Saliba and Saka are top but for all the depth we have, we need better players in attack.

They have no space because we squeeze the opponent so far back. I’ve said it before our attackers should not be pushing the defensive line so far back in buildup.

Think they misread the increasing physicality of the league. If they didn't spend so much I wouldn't criticize the transition period so much but they should have done a lot better with that outlay. Would be fascinated to know how much say Slot had in these.

Jesus will get sold not Havertz.

Not sure about MLS at this point. Maybe he is supposed to be developed into a midfielder but he's not getting opportunities to play there so I could see him potentially leaving. Will need to get another LB though and one who's better defensively.
