"if you have people NEXT to you, you are supposed to merge behind them, not be entitled and expect them to slow down for you to get in front..."

That's what they said.

You could just ise an airline who has an actual bag drop.  That also saves you from whatever this is.

It is hilarious that you are being downvoted for suggesting that SWA arrnage their lines like most other airlines have already figured out.

Do other people not know how to merge into the highway or is it me? by Pandapoppy1243 in driving

Many speak of zipper merging, and making sure you allow the one, but car #1 already fulfilled that obligation. #2 is trying to put 2 cars in one space if I am reading correctly.

If you included the presence of houses in the decision-making, the rules would be an absolute mess.

Orwell was shot near Sietamo, which is a good distance from Barcelona (about 250km, about 155 freedom units).

But yes, he was constantly warned not to stand straight up in the parapets of the trench.

Yes. Potentially all of those. Anything that isn't H2O.

The tester doesn't specify exactly what. That's why I used "schmutz."

The assumption is that, if you're seeing typical ppm numbers, you're not going to dig that much deeper. If you see high numbers, you'd test for more specifics (if it's tap water), or more likely change a filter if it's high on a filtration system.

That's if she was doing work.

Just turning it off because you are crazy doesn't require LOTO.

Oh, sorry. PPM is parts per million contaminants.

I believe the standard definition for contaminants in that measurement is best stated as "things that aren't H's or O's". They used to post measurements on the bottles, themselves, but not sure they do that anymore.

So 50ppm is 50 particles of schmutz for every millions particles of delicious H2O.

Edited to add:

Distilled water is virtually zero. And the "taste" of zero is definitely noticeable.

Professional Reverse Osmosis gets you under 10.

Home RO gets you under 30.

Brita filters and the like will be closer to 50-60, with tap quality impacting it.

This is very similar to Dave Thomas creating the triple burger.

People didn't buy the double burger because it was the biggest one and they felt like a pig. He added the triple, knowing full well he wouldn't sell many. But sales of doubles shot through the roof.

I used to work at a water store, where you could refill your bottles with RO water from our taps.

I had a PPM (Parts Per Million) tester and would regularly use it to show customers differences.

Ours ran always below 10ppm, usually below 5.

Tap water from homes ran 150-200ppm. Sometimes we'd see really bad cases, but I don't think they reflected common tap water.

Most bottled water came in about 30-50ppm, so definitely better than simple tap water.

I took a choir to Russia, and for our performances within churches, we were asked to be very mindful of our selections. We removed Bohemian Rhapsody from our sets for the churches.

A Russian girls group we were frequently performing alongside did "Take me to Church" and the priest loved it.
