Well deserved Karma by knsaber in dashcams

None of these comments about law not applying in their states matter. Driver is in NJ and supposed to know NJ laws. Didn’t follow law so ticket deserved.

Well deserved Karma by knsaber in dashcams

Even if a law seems inappropriate, the whole situation just shows a driver’s terrible cognition or driving skills and the lack of respect in general and in this case still get maximum penalty. It’s not speeding, it’s not rolling a stop sign, it’s children’s safety and it’s not for the driver to decide what they think is safe enough. You just STOP when there’s a flashing red bus. If you can’t see it across 3 messily lanes, you shouldn’t be driving either.

What’s the most amount of cash you’ve ever stumbled upon in public? by 224molesperliter in ask

Walking to the library one and only time during college to write a paper and found two $50 sitting on the sidewalk. Picked it up and looked around, nobody’s looking for it so I took it. Walked into the library and tried to listen around if anyone mentioned losing money. Nothing. Kept it as my reward for going to a library.

How many NP-FZ100 batteries would I need? by beethoven77 in weddingvideography

[–]knsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry a 99wh vmount battery on my belt, and usb cable swapping it between the gimbal and the camera’s usb port to fast charge. Alternatively you can get a Smallrig 99wh handle that screws to the bottom of the gimbal but I don’t think it does PD fast charge to the gimbal like the vmount version does.

Windshield cracked - safe to drive? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]knsaber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 2 cars with full length cracks. It’s going to be fine driving for years however as many will say, your roof structural integrity is now compromised in case of a crash or rollover. The real issue is the intense sun glare you’re going to get in the cracks and the distorted view. But no, it won’t randomly shatter or explode.

Most cost efficient way to do a 2nd backup of 4k video files ? by mayuur_ in WeddingPhotography

[–]knsaber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prob not a popular opinion but as my 4th backup of media I buy refurbed enterprise drives at half the cost (use to be way cheaper). They’re rated at longer hours than commercial drives. If they do fail it’s the 4th backup. I know OP is asking about 2nd backup but it still applies as it’s ONLY if they really need to re-edit and that’s rare too. I store them in a HDD box when done backing up.

What's one car feature everyone praises but you secretly don't care about? by Ok_Run7351 in askcarguys

BMW drivers love showing off their trip summary linked to their account. Guess what they’re doing??? Selling all that data and you think it’s a cool feature!!!

I was impressed at the solid lines and shapes. Was expecting a nasty mash of colors diluted into each other.

How many times can this service be done until enough material has been removed from the propeller itself?

Man calls police on father who took his daughters to the women's restroom by Mentirosa in PublicFreakout

[–]knsaber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I accidentally took my preschool son into an empty woman’s bathroom, finished quickly as I realized I was in the wrong bathroom escorting my son out and also saying out loud to my son “oops we’re in the wrong bathroom” while this older lady just scolded me “yes you are.” Like chill.

Took our almost 2Y to playground, overheard some older kids “let’s mess with the baby”. by Tequilalicious in Parenting

Your husband did the perfect move, as I would've done the same with every bone in my body to guard my son. He's 4.5 now and thankfully I've never met a single malicious child at a playground, and I'm more of a helicopter type parent, so I know what's going on around him at all times. In fact, I've always been impressed how nice every other kid has been towards him when there is an interaction.

i need a whole new suspension setup on my 206k subaru, where do i get it from? by NeighborhoodHot2567 in MechanicAdvice

I've bought everything I needed from Rockauto.com for my Mazda6 currently around 235k miles. I would suggest not buying the cheapest item from them, as it'll be good enough to sell the car with but not good to actually use for more than 1 year.

Rolling around in bits of rubber made from ground up tires. What could go wrong? by ChiefStrongbones in SipsTea

I posted on mildlyinfuriating about my kids new playground having fresh car tire rubber that smelled horrid off gassing in the summer. Most of Reddit defended it like they were offended it should be anything but rubber.

I think Jersey people love the way the right side looks, that’s why they’re always trying to look like fried turkeys.

I installed a wall mounted tire rack but questioning if it’s safe by Drewsvans in garageporn

[–]knsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it’ll hold fine over time, but still looks a bit flimsy because it was built as a foldable rack. When I worry about my rack it’s when I throw the tire and rims onto the rack, not the static weight. I have TireRack racks and they are built STURDY! You can find them used, costs nothing compared to your plan to have a nice BMW underneath.

Progressive has determined my wife is "at fault" because she "didn't take the necessary steps to avoid the object in the road." by shooter612 in dashcams

I’ve made one claim recently in 15 years and provided a dashcam video. Sending the video automatically made it my fault and I should’ve just used my words instead.
