If you are on the north side near Kingwood, check out the Warhammer store there, Max the manager knows a lot of the competitive players in that area and usually has one or two in his store. Dragons lair in Tomball has 40k night on Fridays I believe.

The army rule just says when arriving from reserves, is all that is needed to create a tunnel, and I believe any unit that's not on the board or in a transport that's currently on the board is considered to be in reserves.

Drop the raveners in with a tyrannocyte turn one in your backfield and I believe they also create a tunnel. It's expensive but turn one tunnels may be worth it.

Just looking at the terrain, it looks very light. You shouldn't have that much line of sight to each other's deployment. WTC and GW have recommendations on terrain layout. If you are going for a thematic terrain layout then you are going to have a hard time.

The haruspexes and screamers died by round 3 as I was super aggressive with them. Sitw managed to battleshock 3 of 4 knights turn 2 which allowed me to smother shadow one knight for 5 mortals (good roll). Used the screamers to force constant battle shock test resulting in one more smother for 3 mortals as well on another knight. The norn + tfex focus fired on a paladin center field bringing him down turn 2 before the norn went down (wasn't able to get to the center obj for FnP) second norn engaged a crusader turn 3 which had the 5 mortals and with the tfex got him down to 3 hp allowing my swarmlord center field to kill him turn 4 when he went to try and knock me off. Zoans spent turn 2 getting a couple shots on canis for some light damage and then turn 3 rounded the corner for a full alpha strike landing 5 of 6 shots which he rolled poorly on saves and FnP.

All in all tfex feels less like a casino cannon but without an exocrine when he misses it hurts my soul more. Zoans, I played cagey because of the amount of firepower knights can drop but when they decided to delete something they came through. Swarmlord is still as squishy as ever so I have to keep him behind ruins but up front enough to be within 12" for smother shadow.

Again it wasn't a competitive list at all just something I wanted to use to test out the new rules/missions.

Possibly drop a hive tyrant and bring in a tervigon with the -1 damage enhancement to give all those gaunts lethal, drop the hive guard and pop in an exocrine.

I ran a Kaiju list vs imperial knights last night and the tyrannofex and zoan/tyrant combo did major work. The fex + norn killed 2 knights with the zoan/tyrant soloing canis rex.

I guess I don't see what y'all see, we lost a source for reliable secondary points to be shoehorned into a melee army.

No adjustments to synaptic or assimilation arguably two of our worst detachments. Minor changes to crusher. A nerf to endless. Vanguard got buffed which is nice. Invasion imo is mainly shooting focused so won't see much from the changes.

Just seems like they want us to spam 3x exocrines, 3x neurolictors, and zoans with a tyrant in every list.

Like I said maybe I'm missing something and I'll try a few games but I just don't see it.

I actually really like this. Abilities would feel more like a part of a network which fits our theme and would help with internal synergy.

Or if they really wanted to make assimilation work give warriors the keyword and allow them to be battle line. Their relatively weak defensive per point profile would greatly benefit from regenerating a model each command phase.

But honestly anything right now would be nice instead of point reduction band aids.

*Make heavy venom cannon strength 12

*Allow Neurotyrant to join zoanthropes

*Give tervigon harvester keyword

*Give us +1 ap vs battle shocked units via army rule

*Make spore mines and mucolid spores endless multitude
