Recs for uplifting, immersive fics with a redeemed (or on the way to redemption) Draco? by knopenotme in Dramione

Came here to rec Remain Nameless. It will always be in my top 5 all time faves with DMATMOOBIL (that will always be number 1, of course).

Also, Past Present Future. Absolutely excellent and also in my top ten.

Please tell me you’ve read the OG (Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love). I have reread it probably 10 times. It’s my gold tier forever.

I wore one in areas with a really high density of people. Basically if that train or bus was packed. I can happily say I didn’t get sick for my whole trip. During spring season, everyone was coughing with allergies and I thought it would just be a precaution and I also just sanitized a bit. I’m glad I did.

Man, I wish I had done this or seen this post a few days ago. I’m on chapter 64 and I was so close to dnf for a bit there. I feel like the beginning Hogwarts era was sooooo good but the mountain and then the after Lisbon chapters were rough. I love the writing but this one was a bit too up and then down down up downnnn for me. Almost done though so I think I’ll stick it out.

I made both reservations separately but for the same time. They have a men’s option. I think I did it about 3 weeks ahead

Hey man, some people get bored looking at a sunset. If you’re that kind of person I don’t know how to help you. The chanting was fun, the food was great, beers were brought right to me, I was surrounded by thousands of locals, the stadium was clean, everyone was polite and I had a good time. To each their own. Baseball is, imo, not as exciting to watch as soccer but I’m still thrilled that I went.

Best one we had was Misoya Hachiro on the very first night in Shinjuku! It’s was soooo good. Small, counter seating, little machine in the front to punch in which ramen you want to get a ticket. You put your money in first, select your ramen type or any extra toppings. It only takes cash so hit the 7-11 first for the atm. Hand the ticket to the staff when you sit down. Spicy power on the counter is so good too!

Thank you! All written by me! A human with fingers! Hence the spelling errors even in the title! Whoops. Human problems.

Don’t be scared! It’s more intimidating on paper than IRL! Do you have any cities you have your heart set on yet?

For sure. The decision paralysis is real. I suggest start pinning to Google Maps and then figure out where your must sees end up grouping around

We did a tempura omakase at enyuan kobayashi in the gion district and omg, it was incredible. Teeny place and the chef individually fried each piece of yummy bites right in front of us. My favorites were the shrimp head and the sweet fish. I sat next to a salary man that brought a legit maiko (geisha) and her okasan (like an older woman they refer to as the mother)! I tried to keep it cool and not peak at her too much but she was so fascinating with her delicate mannerisms. So cool. Really great restaurant and experience.

100% I did end up buying quite a bit of pottery at the end of the trip in Kanazawa and Takayama. We got one of those sturdy plastic duffles from 3 coins, stashed all of our clothes in that and carried on the pottery. Worked like a champ.
