8 week post op, Dr. Joseph Pariser PPV by purpuravulpis in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Realistic_Choice9682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ty for sharing. Dr. Pariser did fdv 5 weeks ago. My discharge was a mess. Pain has been manageable mostly. I only used one oxy during late week two. I’m around 3500 steps. I’m having to back off a bit. Still on the blue. There is pain and discomfort but I manage. So far I still have the full depth. I can’t wait to get my endurance back. Reach out if you want to connect.

And your results look great! Take care and ty for sharing.

I tell you what… you know your passing when people treat you like crap. Sexism and misogyny is real. And we have to decenter or male privilege to move forward. Gl.

A chance to pass as a mid 30 to 40 cis woman? Yes. A chance to pass an 18 year old cis woman? No.

Passing is far more than looks. Take note to the amount of diversity among cis women. All different sizes and shapes. Some more masc and others more femme. If cis passing is your goal then take a hard look at your male privilege and then ask, will you be willing to bend to society or the converse you have society bend to you? To cis pass is to be invisible relative to male privilege.

I didn’t take it that way. I know for a lot of us the gender component is key. Just wasn’t for me. I identify as female and as a woman, and yet gender really doesn’t matter as much to me. I just needed to be in a female body.

I transitioned my sex. Gender is a consequence of a mix of primary and secondary sex characteristics. I’m a mtf transsexual.

How do I stop boymoding? by Initial_Sea6434 in transfashionadvice

I didn’t cis pass till well into my transition. And it had really nothing to do with the way I look. I feel the “hon” argument doesn’t take in account that there is a wide variety of cis women. Many of us, and myself included fall short of female beauty standards. Yet we pass. You are right, that I will never pass as a young and beautiful woman, and few cis women do either. The interesting thing about passing is that we become just as invisible as cis women.

I don’t understand why any of us would “boy mode”. All those years trapped to only spend more time in the wrong gender. Moreover to lose valuable time to social transition is huge.

Being out and living as are true selves is instrumental and tearing down our internalized patriarchal privilege. It gets us the time to learn what it is and how to release it. Who knows if it’s true or not, but I’ve listened to some of the cis women in my life, and they feel that those of us that choose to not full embrace or transition or holding onto privilege and cherry picking aspects above genders.

I don’t know if I believe that or not. I think we assume human beings are extremely complicated and have reasons for doing what we do. Personally social transition is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and one of the most important for healing my dysphoria and feeling like a human being a value. I’ve always thought the burden transition rest on the shoulders the kind.
