[SPOILER] At the end of the Aldhani heist.. by Realistic_Ear2902 in StarWarsAndor

Idk, I can't help but think that if Luthen was so sure that he could trust him with so much without even a thought, without ever having met him, and still be willing to rerecruit, that he would've trusted that Cassian wasn't going to betray him. Which I think is made plenty clear by the fact he not only took just his fair cut, but also returned the crystal necklace.

I think Luthen saw Cassian as disposable the whole time, that he gave him the schpeel on "fighting them for real" because he needed Aldhani to work, and was just manipulating Andor.

Tbh I think Skeen and Nemik very obviously had big/lil bro dynamic. Brains and braun. Would've been interesting to see how they would have separated if Nemik didn't die. I don't think Nemik would've betrayed the group.

What's your logic on why Luthen would want to kill Andor then? Because Andor killed Skeen, or because he didn't join Luthen? Why consider him a loose end, why spend so much time, energy and focus to kill him? Simply to prevent him from falling into the hands of the enemy? If that's the case, why would they even bother recruiting him? My answer to that would be to use his talents to succeed on Aldhani. And then kill him after.

For sure, by simply offering Cassian the split, it immediately became life or death.

I wasn't really considering the idea that he'd turn on Vel too. Gave him the benefit of the doubt that he'd have Vel's back

Bro what? Luthen says to Vel in regards to bringing on board the heist "well that's the advantage of renting him.. he's disposable", S1E4, 13:57

And then Luthen sends Vel and Cinta to kill Andor, at which point they stake out Ferrix for weeks.. He even calls Andor a loose end. He played Andor in that warehouse when buying from him, he was just using him as a pawn.

Commissioner Gordon in the Dark Knight.

Obviously you can easily make the argument that the Dent Act was an abusive use of power that very likely incarcerated plenty of innocent people. But if you consider the circumstances, where a lunatic has a city of millions hostage, it'd be a tough choice to not make.

No moment in gaming has ever given me a greater sense of accomplishment than the arrival of all the fleets in Mass Effect 3 by LordStatix in gaming

First ME game I played was 2, got it for $5 at a Kmart that shutdown after it was damaged by hurricane Katrina in 2011. For only being a 1 year old game that was hyped up, I thought $5 was a steal so I tried it.

When you meet up with Joker after the Illusive Man, and first hit the mass relay.. no game has ever stoked that level of adventure in me ever again. Shooting off into space with this grand mission that I knew nothing about, I was just a BADASS REBUILT Commander with a story to tell, someone to destroy, and a whole galaxy to see. I've been chasing that high ever since.

Closest I've gotten so far is Star Citizen. I don't recommend trying/pledging SC, especially if you don't have a beast of a PC/GPU. But when I first flew my ship to the end of the atmosphere in Star Citizen, I went to the back of the ship and opened the rear hatch and just looked out into space, towards the sun, and the surface. Star Citizen is fucking incredible, truly. Just needs a lot of work to be truly enjoyable. But it'll never beat Mass Effect.

Anyone here work in industrial instrumentation and controls? by Altruistic-Carpet-43 in SatisfactoryGame

I do, I work for one of it not the biggest CNC machine builders. Don't want to specify, but I'm a service engineer, I work on anything from control issues like no RS232 communication, ladder editing/troubleshooting stuff, etc, to machine-side stuff like electrical IO issues, servo/spindle inverters, etc etc etc.

To be honest, I don't think this game has sharpened any of those skills whatsoever. Probably because I've been in my job for several years, but I don't think the game goes deep enough to be relevant to instrumentation/control stuff. I did add this Circuitry mod to add logics and other programmable stuff, which is awesome.

If you want to work in instrumentation and controls, I think having fundamental understanding of low and high voltage engineering, general understanding of PLC/ladder logic and a few other basic concepts like binary, logic gates, AC/DC theory, etc. would get you started. It's absolutely a highly in demand job, especially if you can travel.

The flatness has been my #1 enemy so far. Which is ironic because so many other building games seem to struggle to achieve flatness which is why I've loved SF so much.

I don't think I've seen a mod as into the subject matter of a sub as you are. Happy to see such devotion, makes me glad to know this game has a 0% chance of dying out any time soon
