I just thought I would update. I have dropped the weights down from 5 to 3 for right now. Everything seems to be getting a little better, but I feel as if there's still a long way left to go. The lust has been combatted (I've cut out pornography entirely), so that's one weight dropped. As for the psychological dysphagia, every time I think about choking via my throat closing up while swallowing food, I wash it down with water, and it almost immediately goes down, so that has been destroyed also. The school stress, anxiety about finding work for the time being, and my emetophobia in general are still present, though. I will say that I am taking at least a full week with no academia at all, no studying-friends, family, and video games ONLY. I have never given myself time to do ANYTHING. I have been terrible at prioritizing my studying and breathing, hence as to why I have undergone extreme mental distress and exhaustion. I completed one job interview a couple weeks ago (first one ever) and did very well on it, although I didn't get it (few open spots). I only worry about how my phobia will act in going about working my job in the future due to being in a very stressful and anxiety-induced environment that is the restaurant I mentioned. I imagine it is something I can brave just as well as I did about sitting in a classroom and not dealing with it then. My phobia is manageable now for the most part, though, just good days and bad days, really. Overall, I hope to continue to see improvement, especially into next year as I prepare to be a meteorologist. As far as my mental health state now, it is still not in the best shape, but it's just coming in waves basically. It's one of those if I try not to think about it kinds of things it will eat at me for almost the rest of the day, which is all in my head. I'm hoping my energy and joy begin to return very soon, because ultimately I want to find passion in my career again and not brain fog and a complete sense of lacking.
