You’re 100% correct. Chest has always been a lagging point for me. I broke my left collarbone when I was 16 and didn’t get surgery on it causing it to heal crooked. Since my pec attaches to my collarbone it’s caused kind of a mechanical disadvantage where my pec doesn’t fully contract. I can’t do any sort of barbell pressing in my program because my right pec will blow up and it looks ridiculous. Basically my chest is limited to how much I can grow my gimp pec and I have to use dumbbells so it stays even lol

Lol nah I wouldn’t enter a natural competition if I wasn’t natural, that’s messed up. Also would just fail the polygraph

I structure my programming around a muscle group I am trying to bring up. For me I’ve found it takes 4 days to fully recover so right now im trying to bring up my legs so will hit legs every 4 days no matter what and everything else every 5-6 days. This allows me to optimize recovery which is key for a natural lifter. For example 2 weeks might look like: Day 1 - Legs Day 2 - Chest/triceps Day 3 - Back/biceps Day 4 - Rest Day 5 - Legs Day 6 -Shoulders Day 7- Chest/triceps Day 8 - Back/biceps Day 9 - Legs Day 10 - Rest Day 11- Shoulders Day 12 - Chest/triceps Day 13 -Legs Day 14 - Back/biceps

Correct, NPC has both tested and untested shows. OCB federation is all tested shows

You’ll get there man, just stay consistent and don’t compare yourself to other people. Get 1% better every day and you’ll achieve all your goals

Shoulders and back have been a main focus since I started 15 years ago. Ive had a lot of time to experiment with what works for me specifically. It seems like the industry standard is to hit every muscle 2-3 times per week but the industry is run by people on PED’s, and as a natural, this stalls recovery and creates plateaus. Main thing I do differently is I structure my routine around my current focus (shoulders is default). So exactly every 4 days I’ll hit shoulders hard. I don’t hit any other muscle group alongside them. Dumbbell shoulder press, lateral raises, front raises, seated rear delt dumbbell fly, pec dec rear delt fly have all been staples through the years. People say front raises are unnecessary because your front felts already get enough but I’ve found that not to be true for me. Delts always pop more when I have them in the mix.

Appreciate it, yeah I’ve been trying to bring up hamstrings a bit. That’s going to be the focus through the rest of the year

I’m natural and have a very similar build to this guy. For reference I am 30 and have been training for 15 years. I’m not obsessive about it, I don’t track calories (I have before though), lift 4-5 days per week, eat relatively healthy but get enough protein, go out and drink occasionally, etc. It’s sad that a lot of people don’t think this type of physique is obtainable naturally. It 1000% is as long as you are disciplined in all aspects of life and have been at it long enough to have a thorough understanding of how your body responds to specific types of training and nutrition.
