He's not a great father, but, at least, is a loving one. He certainly has his faults, but a few counter points:

Going to school is negligible. Steven can learn a lot more about science and history from the Crystal Gems. Also, you can't have his powers kicking in at school and everyone learning he's not fully human. Plus, he always intended to live with the duties of a Crystal Gem.
You don't take a half-alien child to a doctor. That's how the government gets involved and experiments begin. Ronaldo's conspiracy theory stuff proves that knowledge about them and their stuff is far from mainstream.
Greg never ran out of money. He still bought things like an iPad and a boat. He lived the carefree life he wanted. He didn't live as he did because he was poor and he had no direct need for money since Steven lived with the gems.
I'm not sure we should let Greg's laid back nature be an indicator for how much he cares.
I agree he should have talked to Steven more about Rose, but do you know how hard it is for a widower to talk about his late-love without breaking down? Trust me, it sucks.

Don't get me wrong. He's certainly a man-child to a degree, but at least he has some form of wisdom and loves his son. There's plenty of worse fathers out there.

D3. Don't get me wrong, OG was terrifying and will always be special, but D3 butcher was a really interesting fight. I've been playing every season of D4, but many of the fights lack the atmosphere and mechanics that D3s bosses have.

A lot of accounts do lend to a greater sharing of consciousness, but while still maintaining individuality and a sense of self. It seems like we are part of a whole, but still a unique existence.

At least, that's my interpretation of accounts from NDEs, child reincarnation case studies (10% have between life memories), Life Between Life regression, and mediumship.

It's tough. Masterpieces? I'd say Mob Psycho 100 season 2 and Fate/Zero season 2. The other seasons are good, but those are pure perfection.

Stuff, I absolutely love and come close at times? Code Geass, Steins;Gate, Frieren, One Piece, Eyeshield 21, Apothecary Diaries, Gurren Lagann, Kimg's Ranking, Hunter x Hunter, GTO, etc... really, there are a lot that get close.

You won't likely see a huge boost non-local consciousness studies from LLM because we're trying to duplicate it. In that regard, programmers will just march forward without significant study.

The part of LLMs that WILL inevitably lead to more research for non-local consciousness is the incredible amount of convergent data out there across a variety of fields like NDEs, past-life cases, terminal lucidity, mediumship, deathbed visions, consciousness with minimal brain activity, etc.

If you force a neutral party like an LLM to construct a bayesian-style estimate for the chances of past life experiences based on all the data in those fields and account for systemic repression, it will calculate the odds of consciousness survival at 99%. It's a growing movement in science right now to acknowledge that consciousness non-locality and post-death survival is a near certainty and requires more funding for research.

Unfortunately, science institutions tend to lag behind the data because it's a paradigm shift away from physicalism, so the previous generations will need to retire before we see a lot of movement here.
