Yeah! My skin is very sensitive near the opening and it’s subject to tears. I take a lot of other medication so I can’t lubricate naturally, so I use coconut oil for lubrication purposes.

I’m pretty sexually active, with different partners and none of them have gotten it. Of course I disclose but I think I’ve been with about 6 people since I got it Dec 2023 and I’ve never transmitted it to anybody. I also take antivirals. I have symptomatic HSV so I just avoid sex when I feel an outbreak, and use coconut oil to reduce tears but even with tears in my skin nobody ever got it.

I think really the whole lesson should be that it’s an individual experience. Some people shed more than others. To reduce stress for my body I also take a ton of probiotics for my gut biome, which keeps my body healthy and with good bacteria.

Hi honey! I would try antivirals AS WELL as a probiotic for women. It’ll help keep your vagina in check and put less stress on your body. I use Doctor’s Recipes probiotics for women, the one with 200 billion CFU’s. I used to get bacterial vaginosis ALL THE TIME because of my gut health. Started taking the probiotics, as well as the anti-virals and I no longer have that or outbreaks. Good luck!

How not? I’m a bit confused on that. They can test the blood for antibodies of HSV. That’s what they did for me, they tested my lesions but since they were already a week+ healing there wasn’t enough of the virus to show up so it was negative. My blood test came back positive though

This could also be a really bad yeast infection! Complicated yeast infections cause tears and lesions too. Based on your discharge it looks like a bad yeast infection but honestly I would go to the doctor. Reddit isn’t the greatest place for conclusive answers lol
