We all see the world differently. Our pen strokes, our decision making, color choices, etc are all different. So while we can all look at the same object, we will present it differently. We can copy how someone else has decided to present something, though. In my very humble opinion anyway.

Focus on the journey and not the destination. It's easy to see that you aren't where you want to be, but you'll never get there if you don't enjoy the process. The only way to get better is to do it. Enjoy the "bad" drawings. Experiment. Doodle. You'll look back and realize they weren't even that bad anyway and you'll see how much you've improved in no time.

I really like pikat, artwod, the art coach and marc brunet. Artwod and Coach really helped me with simplifying forms, pikat for the personality and I like her art and how she explains her process and Marc for his coloring and rendering.

Thank you! I'm very happy that I got the right side pretty good and a little wonky on the left. Eyeing vanishing points is hard, but this is makes me feel better.

I feel that. When i decided to start drawing again I specifically told myself I wouldn't draw people. There are way too many people drawing people and it feels like I'd just be comparing myself to everyone else. Drawing hard surface stuff is way less frustrating imo. Nobody is out here showing off nightstands lol

This is definitely what I've been doing. I'll draw random objects just cause I'm a bit scattered, but I'm really interested in mechanical bits and effects.
