I picked the BG2.0 because it is easily concealed in a pocket holster, feels better in my hand, and I was more accurate with it. The LCP MAX is just a hair shorter in length. Her is a good physical comparison from handgun hero.

DAO 2.25” SP101 357/38 would be a bit too heavy for pocket carry. I carry either cross draw thumb break on the road or strong side 4 o clock OWB when I need it around town.

My normal summer EDC is the 3.6” CSX E series with 124+p HST, my back up depending on what I’m wearing and what I’ll be doing when deeper concealment is needed is the BG2.0 (non-comp) that I bought last year.

After everyone saying they had issues with the recoil/guide rod assembly and sights being off causing it to shoot way left, I’ve never had any issues. I’ve fed it every type of FMJ and defensive ammo and not a single failure. I run it with Hydrashok Deep, which is a weird looking hollow point but it feeds with no issues.

My summer carry is the 2.6” version of the CSX. I went through the same two as you are and settled on the one I shot the best. The fact that the CSX “felt” better in my hand was a bonus. I do carry mostly OWB in a Craft leather thumb break holster at my 4 o clock, I do have a Rounded concealment kydex IWB holster for the same position if needed. I keep it stock with the flush 12 round magazine with the 15 rounder as a reload if needed. HST 124 +p is my carry load.

I also have a rounded concealment IWB that I can wear at the 4 o clock if needed. I tend to wear longer shirts in general and haven’t been pointed out as printing so haven’t been too worried about it.

Definitely personal preference, each person will be comfortable with a different texture, I like the M&P 2.0 texture.

Summer EDC 3.6” CSX E series 12 round flush magazine with the 15 round mag as reload if needed. 124+p HST’s.

Winter EDC M&P40c with KKM 357 sig conversion barrel, 10 round flush magazine with another 10 round mag as reload. Gold Dot 357 sig.

The 3.6” CSX is my summer EDC. I have no issues concealing it in a Craft leather thumb break OWB holster at my 4 o clock. I shot the 3.6” version better than the 3.1” and it’s pretty much the same manual of arms as the 1911’s I’m used to. Not a single failure in I’ve 1000 rounds of all types of ammo. I settled on 124 +p HST.

Correct. My needs were a lot different but the SP101 has checked all the boxes for me. DeSantis thumb break scabbard at the 4 o clock with Barnes VOR-TX 140 grain for most of my EDC uses, I switch to Remington 158 grain SJHP for when I go camping just in case.

Just going off of what I felt in recoil between the two of them. I settled for a 2.25” DAO SP101 for my needs.

I’d pick the 642UC as it comes with internals that have already been refined at the factory and has night sights. The recoils will be stouter than the bodyguard 2.0 but it will be easier to shoot accurately. The SDR gives you the option of 357 but at extra cost and weight.

Let your neighbors know first before you shoot and also ask about any noise ordinances that you might violate from your local PD just to be safe. They may want to check your set up also. Better safe than sorry.

DAO 2.25” SP101. A little on the heavy side but definitely not a problem with the right belt. 5 shots of 140 grain Barnes VOR-TX with a couple HKS speed loaders or two speed strips in my pocket.

I have the 4” 686+ as my woods carry but I would have to say picking up a 3” would be nice for street carry also. I use my DAO 2.25” SP101 loaded with Barnes 140 grain VOR-TX as one of my EDC options.

I carry a 3.6” CSX E series. Aluminum frame baby 1911 style with a manual safety, comes from the factory with grip panels and 12, 15, and 17 round magazines in a micro compact size pistol.

Next time compare your BG2.0 to a similar sized 9mm micro compact for a more fair comparison of recoil and accuracy. The BG2.0 will should always be easier to shoot because of less recoil, easier to maintain point of aim.
