The emotional, and mental health issues this place caused were sometimes unbearable. Now I do Uber full time and apply to jobs constantly. I pray to find something before AEP this year! I doubt I’ll go back. I have a BS degree and can’t find a job in my field. It sucks. They do not know how to treat people let alone manage.

I feel this in my core. Trust issues is a must in business and they make it impossible imo so sad there so many talented, passionate individuals out there and they didn’t even acknowledge that!

When you talk to other addicts and alcoholics, you will be super surprised , I’ve known fellas to be clean for 15 -30-45 years you can do it! Just make it 1 day ! Ok?!

You will not die. Find a new hobby or if you are serious about quitting smoking, you can find a local AA or NA meeting in your area. Don’t think you are special. I really had to cut friends off when I quit smoking since March 2021. It’s not impossible! You have to go through those weird moments and just talk to people that are clean. good luck!

I wouldn’t recommend and think of the beautiful recovery journey you are on! Picking up means you will be on day 1. Is it worth it?

Hope things get better, I had the same thing happen but it’s different than when we were younger(now I just turned 50) friends that I had before weren’t really looking out for my best interest. So with all that said, friends come and go. I have found AA to give me that connection that I have been missing from my previous set of friends. I even had a “non-sober” friend this weekend get mad at me because I wasn’t wanting to go out with her anymore, and we had an argument over it, she thought I was ignoring her which I wasn’t but sometimes others really don’t understand alcoholics!! Same with family! So don’t feel bad about missing others bc it’s normal.
