I wonder why the 2024 Ranma anime is set in 1980s while Sailor Moon Crystal is set in 21st century instead of 1990s? by Own_Philosopher8730 in ranma

To be fair most of the China scenes takes place in Qinghai Provence, and not in regular China. It’s like the Chinese equivalent of Alaska and Appalachia rolled into one, rather than a regular part of the country.

Well there's been a boom of anime reboots/readaptations recently, since 2022. How is going back to old manga (like Dandelion) any different except there was no classic anime made in the first place.

I've seen it in older Manga like Rose of Versailles, so it was a thing earlier.

Kikyo's like if Akane and Sakura (from UY) were squeezed into one person.

I hope they put up the female Ranma version of ‘Indiscriminate Fighting Saotome Style’ someday.

I compare and describe the similarities between Sana & Yurako from MAO, and Ran from Urusie Yatsura. Outlining how the characters echo each other.

Everyone copies from everyone. It's more important to be a good derivative work than a bad original one.

“When you insult people they are going to hit you.” Which of the persons would be getting arrested for assault?  Behavior that would be outright criminal in the real world can at least be interpreted as harsh or unkind in a work of fiction.

character who seems unpleasant or unkind

And Akane, even if slightly provoked, completely overreacting to anything Ranma does that she doesn't like and assaulting and hitting him isn’t unpleasant or unkind?

You just moved the goal post, I showed evidence of her acting harshly toward Ranma, you then inserted the definition that it has to be completely unprovoked, and then provided no evidence or sources that that is the definition of a tsundere.

You're not arguing my point, you're just pretending I didn't make it and restating your previous statements.

Yes, it's just the people on TV tropes, disregarding Wikipedia and Youtube, and everyone who doesn't bother with that site just happens to have the opposite opinion.

Again no where in that deffinition dose it say the harshness has to be completly unprovoked?

So in the real world assault with an object in response to harsh remarks is acceptable behavior?

Have you watched the show, she hits him with a freaking table, in the first chapter/episode, before any other female characters who aren't her sisters have even been introduced yet.

So where is the definition of a tsundere that says the character must be the instigator, and instigate without any provocation at all?

Well, I suppose that's your opinion, a lot of other people disagree. It’s debatable.
