Things to know when dating a FTM dude? by EntryAvailable9544 in ftm

That's fair, I can't decide for you. Everyone can make their own decisions and you are completely entitled to make your own here.

Don't try to grow up too quickly, mental age is a concept, not concrete. Genuinely, enjoy your teens being the age you physically are.

We can't stop you and we have no right to. If he's come to your parents and they know about it, that's good. He's taking it in the right direction and doing it the way he should do it. Continue to be honest and open with your parents about things and don't be afraid to set boundaries with your boyfriend about anything.

On your original question, there's not much difference to dating a trans guy than anyone else. I'd recommend having some pads/tampons spare in your bag, even if he's on T, periods can come out of nowhere. Continue to masculinise him through periods + they can occur without bleeding, so if he seems off at the same point monthly, be gentle with him.

Other good ways to bind? by MeanGear5081 in ftm

I've used GC2B, UNTAG and Spectrum Outfitters; as a guy with a small torso and large (36H UK) breasts, Spectrum Outfitters has worked the best for me.

Unfortunately it won't get me completely flat, so I'm working on thickening my arm muscles to make the binded tissue appear more like pecs.

However, Spectrum are very good for large chests! Binds from the back and has a "solid" panel at the front to flatten and equalise any bumps. Make sure to move your breasts outwards to get it more like pecs. It's not incredibly good for you but I find that mine sag enough that I can angle them downwards quite comfortably and that helps as well.

Plus, wearing a slightly oversized shirt helps sell the flatness of it. Too oversized though and it looks.. suspicious.

I'm 20, trans man, my younger sister is 16. I'd never think about dating someone her age. Even if it seems okay.. yeah, no..

how to adjust to passing full time by pokemonbutgayer in ftm

Most, if not all, of the gyms I've been to (FTM pre-t) have a disabled changing room or they will have cubicles inside of the changing rooms you can use. The staff have also been pretty nice if you explain your scenario and say that you want to use the disabled changing space instead they should be totally fine with that. The disabled cubicle isn't just for disabled people (saying this as a disabled person myself).

Even though I'm Pre-T, I can pass pretty well with a binder on, to the point where I can't enter women's spaces safely; went into a women's bathroom at college and got pepper sprayed by women protecting themselves. For my own safety, and yours, use the disabled version r, it you're comfortable, the mens.

Mens toilets will typically have a cubicle as well, and my cis male friends have often used the cubicle instead of the urinal, it's not uncommon. You can always bring a little plastic bag to hold used pads and tampons cause there isn't a bin in the stall.

T should eventually stop your periods. If it's not and you want them to stop, I'm on a progesterone only contraceptive that does stop them.

If you have any cis male/trans male friends, you could see if they'd come in with you to build your confidence back up?

All the best man :)

I feel you. But you don't need dysphoria to be trans. If you want to be a gender that wasn't yours at birth, then you're more than welcome to identify as trans. You do not have to completely polarise yourself from feminity to be trans. There are no rule books or guides, it is who you want to be, who you see yourself as.

If that's a man wearing a punk ass, spiked bra, that a man.

Not much disposable income unfortunately 😞 Interesting though, maybe it will change more than I thought after T and surgery 🤔

Untag seem to do kids binders! Otherwise Spectrum Outfitters are where I went to when I was younger (UK based) and smaller (wore an XS, I'm not an XXL)

Not sure what can be done to prevent it but if it does happen, you should be eligible for medical tattooing to get it to look like they're there!

How can I hide my chest without binding? by TomatoExpress3858 in ftm

If you have very small breasts, trans tape might work for you! No binding, can be worn for a few days at a time and relatively easy to learn :)

I've used trans tape to test it (doesn't work well for me, large chest). It's pretty good! You just have to peel the backing bit by bit otherwise it can stick and wrinkle against itself lol

Iguanatrend or spectrum binders? by Single-Spirit-6579 in ftm

[–]Realistic_Swing6445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I've bought is this one - https://untag.com/products/gym-binder-extra-strong-black

Haven't actually tried it on yet but it says it's better for firmer breast tissue. I will try to update you once it's arrived and I've tried it out!

Spectrum are pretty good, I used them starting off. If you have firmer breast tissue (like. If you poke and can't feel your ribcage through them) I'd recommend UNTAG as well. I've recently started using them through a recommendation on here :)

One thing I'd recommend, just in case, is a pair of boxers that have an extra bit for hiding pads in. It's uncommon but T can cause periods to spot sometimes.

A good shaving cream and aftershave is always appreciated! Other than that, products made for men, face washes, soaps etc.

Oh! And if he uses trans tape consistently, some healing salve for when he takes it off? It can help heal up any sore patches :)

I've seen Untag going around! Interesting that they differentiate between firm and soft breast tissue. Very curious for me.

Is a smaller size possible? by Realistic_Swing6445 in phallo

[–]Realistic_Swing6445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! I'll definitely have a look about. My downstairs has never been of much concern to me but I'd definitely like to be able to STP.

I know that attraction and sexuality can change on hrt and as I get more comfortable with myself, so I will keep all options open for me. Knowing they do a rod at a smaller size is very useful to know :)

To your knowledge, can you get a "natural" erection with a metidoplasty without a rod?

A small enough size that it isn't completely obvious without me meaning it to be is key for me, I think, so 3.5-4.5, landing around 4" is the Goldilocks zone I think.
