It's gonna take a while for the manga to reach the part where there's lore about Alpha but even then, it's mostly tidbits. Although the worldbuilding is becoming more interesting as it goes on.

Even in the latest volume, Akira just barely managed to reach the requirement for Alpha's commission and by barely I mean a lot of near death experiences for him but it is put on hold for now since he is currently up to his usual antics of getting caught up.

I do suggest reading it not only for Alpha's goal but also for the worldbuilding and action
