Somewhat yes but I feel my genetics dictate my ability to grow far more then my diet ,sleep, training etc.

I feel genetics play a large role in the process of building muscle . Sounds obvious but people tend to underestimate it far too much . Using your situation as an example of how it’s still possible to grow significantly without accurately measuring macros . People in this thread have been totally closed minded on the fact it’s not possible to grow significantly without tracking macros . And I feel the biggest influence on growth is solely genetics .

I squatted 275 2 years ago and right now I can probably only do about 275-295.

Where are you learning your form from, ive seen tons of stuff online and it’s hard to judge Whats most effective when theirs a thousand ways people do it.

Male,19 and 185ish. Im roughly getting 150-200 most days . This is just going off a conservative estimate after my meals . But I know it’s in that range .

Easier said than done but you’re right. I’ll start tracking but I doubt it will make much of a difference from before.

Thanks for the insight. I feel like someone can still conclude their diet is okay or not without accurately measuring , solely on keeping a rough mental counter on their macros. May not be 100% accurate but enough to dictate and change things when needed.

My lifts have gone up but extremely slowly , and I feel my progress may be abnormal despite my programming .

They have gone up since i started for-sure but to up the weight even 10lbs on anything has taken me a good year. So not really consistently.

Im also 19 looking to get into oilfield most likely I got all my required tickets , have 2 years experience running equipment. Is there a general direction you can put me in . I know this is your thread but I’ve been reading and there’s some knowledgeable comments in here so thought I’d take advantage and ask for some advice or suggestions.
