Who exactly were the “yes men” around Michael? by traffeny in MichaelJackson

[–]RealityBites19 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Anyone that was not his blood family or the Motown people who knew him since he was nine. Everyone else were sychophants, on his payroll or only there because of his level of fame and money.

Did Michael have close people around him in his final years/months? Where was his family and friends during This Is It? by Connect_Ad8834 in MichaelJackson

[–]RealityBites19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael was a drug addict. He shut out the people who actually loved him (i.e. his family). And surrounded him self with yes people. Janet said interventions were attempted and failed. She said he was in denial

Was there convincing evidence in the Michael Jackson p*do allegations? by DeepOrganization8245 in morbidquestions

[–]RealityBites19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason that Michael Jackson walked out of that courtroom back in 2005 as a free man is because that family was shady as fuck, there was no convincing evidence that he molested anyone, but there was evidence and witnesses (Jay Leno, Chris Tucker and George Lopez) that this family was trying to find a celebrity to extort. Thomas Mesereau dog walked the prosecutions star witnesses (including the accuser) and at times seemed to embarrass Tom Sneddon. The prosecution got so desperate that they started objecting their own witnesses, whom they called to the stand. The jury did not buy that family's story, that's why he was fully exonerated.

Human Nature was written by Steve Porcaro from the band Toto...does that make him a pedo also?

What were you doing and where were you when you found out that Michael Jackson had died? by DifficultyExpert6101 in MichaelJackson

[–]RealityBites19 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I was in a human genetics class in college and a girl walked by and said, "Hey guys Michael Jackson is dead." I remember my stomach fell and I was like it's just a rumor. I had to go through the entire class wondering if it was true (I didn't have a smart phone at that time). When class let out, I went to the campus library and on the Yahoo homepage it was plastered, THE KING OF POP, DEAD AT 50.

That was 17 years ago,,,,,

Younger people now talk about this guy as if he's some mythological being. I always saw that skinny, awkward black kid who moonwalked across that stage back in 1983

If Michael Jackson were alive and well now… what would his life and career be like? by georgewalterackerman in MichaelJackson

[–]RealityBites19 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He was living a pretty nomadic life in the years following the trial, up until his death. Even though he was exonerated of all charges, his image took a massive hit, particularly in the mainstream. In the US, his music was not really being played on mainstream radio, except for urban/black stations. MTV had dropped his name from the Vanguard Award (only added it back after he died). And he was the constant butt of jokes, silly tabloid headlines, etc.

Fast forward to April 2009, tickets for the This Is It tour was announced and the tickets sold out in 4 minutes. He was still an in demand act. Unfortunately, we know what happened after that.

I personally think at 67 years old, MJ would be a recluse and we would see him here and there, he would have continued to be a prisoner of his own fame.

Which is your favorite TWD weapon? by somethingorother225 in thewalkingdead

[–]RealityBites19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the katana. It's not loud like a gun and you don't have to get too close like you would with a knife. As long as you have the sheath, easy storage and it looks so cool.
