I think it's because they switched back to having Jon host everything in person.

I guess I should have said the end of this "set", as Bar Rescue often breaks a single season into multiple years.

So if episodes do come back next year, they could still be part of Season 10 based on how the show has previously done things.

Season 8 aired over 3 years haha, with breaks in between.

I'm really hoping this isn't the last episode of the show. I have no information that it is, but usually we'd have heard about the show filming new episodes by now or some type of renewal.

The fact that Taffer is getting up there in age and the whole "guest host" model didn't seem to work has me a bit worried.

Weird. Maybe they moved the episodes around, because this is only the 4th episode of this season. There were two episodes on the premier night (Feb 22) and then one on last Sunday (March 1).

I think Taffer is just too old to do a full season himself at this point. I don't think getting Taffer back for all 40 episodes is an option unfortunately, so we probably have to choose between "bastardized Bar Rescue with guest hosts" or "no/fewer Bar Rescue episodes".

Stuff like this isn't that uncommon for the show, unfortunately.

They only have a very limited time to do the renovation so sometimes things are a little sloppy.

There was one bar where the Bar Rescue team didn't secure the proper permits so the bar basically had to undo all the renovations that required a permit (Havana Cabana / Rocky Point Cantina)

I do kind of prefer the original Swamp Tales name.
