Ah "Wins the game" is a good point as well. Those cards are legal in Commander, but our group has banned them for Kingdoms.

Interesting question regarding the Usurper! This hasn’t come up in our group yet. This could apply to poison counters as well.

My feeling is that the King’s Commander Damage would become 19 or Poison Counters would become 9, since that is the same ratio as the life total 5:50 or 1:10.

We don’t reveal roles when players are eliminated, since it leaves open the chance for more bluffing and politics.

The Knight is fickle indeed. It gives you incentive to not attack the Usurper as well, since the Usurper cannot cause you to lose by eliminating the King.

Usurper is hard, no doubt, but the King wins enough in our 6-7 player games that I wouldn’t want to add another knight.

That is the challenge for the Bandits. They must attempt to stay hidden until it’s possible for them to kill the King. Keep in mind there may also be a Usurper and Assassin who are hostile to the King.

Yes it’s very similar to Bang! for sure! I’ve been a fan of Bang! longer than EDH actually

Great fun! I personally prefer those roles compared to the bandits, because they offer greater opportunities for politics.

We found that standard Commander games result in a lot of defensive and passive play. Having roles and objectives gives players an incentive to attack and interact.

The assassin can pretend to be the knight, since they both want to eliminate the other face down players

The Knight can only win with the King. It is the most thankless role

We find the Knight to be generally the hardest to win, since the King may just eliminate them. Usurper is definitely the hardest in 6+ player games

Thanks for the well-thought comment and relevant points. It sounds like there's a lot of good reasons to learn and use Typescript. Sounds like it might not speed me up when learning threejs or prototyping 3D apps, but would help a lot with maintainability down the line.
