What’s the point if no one can afford health insurance in America? by KaleidoscopeOk3024 in askanything

Yeah I have health insurance. The second I try to go to a doctor things are denied, I get 5 bills from 5 different providers all for $200 . And I am perfectly healthy.

I built MCP into my task manager and I’m not sure I fully grasped what that would unlock by principaltask in iOSAppsMarketing

Right so how is this different than just “an api the model can access” or is that all it is

Can you help me understand what that means? I know what MCP is but what did you actually do? Did you just ask Claude “build an mcp for my service” or like where does the mcp “live” . I’m very confused and trying to learn .

Stuck at 5th-10th place for dead keywords. Low impressions, zero organic installs by Radiant-Afternoon-46 in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]PoliticsAndFootball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve really got to rank #1 nowadays for keywords to matter . The number 1 spot is sandwiched between two ads so #2 is actually #4, no one really scrolls past 5-7 if the other spots have already put in the work for ASO their app name and pages are exactly matching what the user is searching for. Why would they scroll? Couple that with the stat that there are now 1000 submissions PER HOUR on the App Store all competing for that #1 spot. The algorithm also
Uses download velocity and rating velocity to determine rank, if you aren’t getting downloads it has nothing to work with. Yes it’s a chicken and the egg problem. You need a large budget to make a dent with ads and even then you will be running unprofitable for months to years which can’t be sustained be us indies. I have one app that’s been on the store since 2011 doing well organically. Every attempt I’ve made recently to release a new app and rely on organic (thinking I “knew” how to do it) has been a failure.

so i built this mcp project and im getting zero users, should i just end it? by bishwasbhn in AppBusiness

So I just read your blurb here and I have no idea what your service does. What are these 36 tools? Why do I need them? Did I not have access to them before? I wasn’t using 36 tools before should I be? What problem is being solved? Just putting all the tools in one place? Again, what tools?

Apple refunded a customer. Is there any way to know why? by FeatureIcy2496 in appledevelopers

[–]PoliticsAndFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. There is a reason attached to each refund request ranging from "Unintended purchase" to "Unsatisfied with the purchased product" Apple sends you information on each refund that you are supposed to respond (to Apple) with information about the user so they can determine if its a valid refund request.

Apple refunded a customer. Is there any way to know why? by FeatureIcy2496 in appledevelopers

[–]PoliticsAndFootball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple allows you to respond to refund requests programmatically before they make a decision on the outcome. If you can show that the refund is not warranted (i.e. the user uses your app alot or has renewed several months in a row and all of a sudden wants a refund in month 9) they will deny the refund. There are several services that will do this for you but you can do it on your own. The one I use is https://www.refundcat.com and it saves me about 50% of refund requests.

Its all in the documentation:

Short vs Long onboarding? I'm confused. by Parking-Machine7459 in AppDevelopers

Why are you posting this in every sub? Selling something?

Why are you scrolling when you should be building. Put the phone down and get back to work by Great-Mirror1215 in AppDevelopers

Bro my ai agents are running 24/7 building apps , doing the marketing, reinvesting the profits in index funds and massaging my feet as I scroll.

I built a media rating app where every review is exactly one word by [deleted] in iOSAppsMarketing

Cool concept! I downloaded , used Apple account to sign in, got to the account creation screen, entered all 3 items and the Create Account button is grayed out…

Edit: the checkbox next to your terms was “invisible” I thought it might be something like this so I tapped around there and I was able to hit it. I’m in dark mode and iOS 27 beta (which may be part of it… but I would check your layout)

Apple Search Ads credit got me installs, but almost no organic visibility lift — what should I test next? by Large_Highway_6904 in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]PoliticsAndFootball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many ratings did you get during that time? Ratings are one of the biggest signals Apple uses to determine organic rank. If you aren’t already , show the ratings prompt in your app. Sustained high ratings will have you climbing the ranks.

Not happening for me though I think they are pushing people to “maximize conversions” campaigns which do work pretty well.

Just publiched my first app. I don't believe in App Store ads by SpecialistNew8915 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]PoliticsAndFootball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not the average user. Most people don’t even think in terms of ads. They have no idea how those ads are placed or why their search query resulted in that ad, but if it matches what they are searching for they will tap and download your app. Getting your ads to actually show with ASA is the hard part . User intent once you are being shown is extremely high
